Although quite some time has past, I'll share a successful EFI patch for a Sapphire 7950 Dual-X (cf Techpowerup). In case some guy like I stumbled across this thread.
You need to check for device ID as well as subsystem ID for your card. These need to match to reduce chances for bricked cards. Mine is 679a (device) and 174b/3000 (subsystem). Attached you will find screenshots of what Mojave thinks after the flash procedure - done with atiflash and Win10.
Safest option is to find one of the zip bundles of patcher scripts and make a rom for your own card. As side note, I flashed with the push switch of that particular card pressed (blue led not lit) - I believe that is bios #2.
Initially I was trying the version of Adnan Khan which turned out to be no match for subsystem ID, although it looks identical to my card. Your atiflash or amdvbflash tool won't let you brick a card with incompatible IDs but as said, pay attention to IDs. Don't blame me afterwards.
