Hi,

i today picked up my iPhone 16 Pro Black 256GB .. in the evening i suddenly got massive screen outtages and blurring/lines on the screen. Anyone else has this problems??

Will try to get tomorrow an quick appointment within the store to let the device check or return it. (very unhappy currently 🙄)

new issue - Device stuck with locked dark screen and cant be activated .. you see the camera modul blinking for FaceID but Screen stays dark.

I just feel sorry for you. Hope you can get a new one tomorrow with out having to wait 🙏
at least to anyway come inside the store without waiting hours because of others who just want to see the new phone ..

Try doing a reset / wipe using Apple Configurator from a Mac.
pretty sure that's an HW issue because 2nd problem is, that the screen keeps black but all the button are working.

**** happens, that's why we have a one year warranty if devices fail.
anyway also purchased Care+ but it's anoying with a new device ..

Yea its always a bit ***** with broken stuff, but I always feel its better that its broken from the start and getting a new one than going thru the hassle of finding it out a month down the road having to do backups and so on.
I guess you still have your old phone and can use that untill you get a new one.

I dont' recall the Dynamic Island EVER showing both cutouts. I know they are there, but Apple has it programed to always be black between them.

just return it!!! sorry
will anyway - but why not to talk about if this is just 1 random issue or at least a whole production series problem to force a recall for others also ..

ohhh man - that's the reason a forum is therefore ..

Yes, because I expect something that I've paid $1200 for to work. Having to replace it is a waste of my time.
i'm not "pissed" but - when you spend ~1400€ and it least's not 12h it's a little bit frustrating .. hope today i can skip the "default" line to find a quick solution for this .. Apple Hotline wanted to send it in without a replacement before - not acceptable ..

Early adoption lottery. It is unfortunately part of the game. Much compassion for you.

Duuude, I’m having problems with mine as well, I got the exact same phone as yours this morning and it the screen kept freezing. I did two forced resets and one complete erase, and still froze up. i did an iCloud restore at 10 this morning when I bought it and didn’t completely finish till about 9pm. i was on the stock iOS 18 and it started doing the screen freeze, upgraded to a different iOS version of 18 and still happened. Went to a beta update for Apple Intelligenc beta and still does the same thing. I’m most likely gonna return it tomorrow.. has to be a hardware issue.
