I just put the Tech Armor HD screen on and wow! I cannot even tell that this thing is there. I followed the video on http://www.techarmor.com/install and did it in the bathroom with steam. This is absolutely fantastic! Highly highly recommend!!! :D

I installed Tech Armor's HD PET film on my Air about a week ago.

IMO, unless one really needs the protection, I'm not sure it's worth the cost and effort.

It's not bad, per se, but the original glass screen provides a superior feel, and fingerprint resistance.

That said, I have their ballistic glass protector on my phone, and it's great.

If the iPad version of the glass is of the same quality, then it might be worth the 30 bones.

I just dont want to downgrade the quality of the screen with a protector, though. In my opinion, its just better to get the apple care plan for a broken screen, and go that way, if needed.

So does tech armor. Replies within 3-4 hr for a replacement order to be placed...

TechArmor's customer service is pretty good. I did need to exchange about three emails with them as I hadn't provided them with my original Amazon order number or confirmed my address but once I did that they emailed me to let me know replacements were on their way free of charge or shipping costs. Mine started peeling off at the one of the corners on my iPad Air.

Guys, Which version of Tech Armor are you using? HD Clear, Matte or Retina Shield?

Anyone knows if the Matte version makes the screen become "darker"?

Thanks!

Some great screen protectors in this thread! I'll check a few out! My husband is going to love this Christmas!

SimpleSnap glass will be on mine. I have it on my iPhone 6 & love it. Came over from Zagg. I currently have a TechArmor HD on my new Air 2, but it was a temporary cover until the SimpleSnap came. I had a Zagg Glass on my Air 1 and it was great...but they are now doing the "universal" home button...the u-shaped button on all their glass protectors. I HATE that. It makes sense on the iPhone 6/6 Plus because of the curved screen...but there's no need on the Air 2. They told me it's because that's where a lot of the glass would break...and they'd have to replace them. So they re-designed. I understand that...but don't like it. So...off to SimpleSnap. They install perfectly every time with the plastic applicator. No alignment needed...its done for you!

zagg glass

I have the Zagg on my phone. It worked great when my phone tumbled out of the car. the Zagg crack but the screen was safe. Zagg replaced no problem. Note ** I had to send in the broken glass.
The Zagg glass to very thin and crystal clear. Previously I my screen protector turned brownish. I only noticed when I took it off. I think this is normal with any plastic screen protector. Glass is the way to go!!!

I currently have the Zagg ordered for my Air 2.

The simplesnap applicator looks awesome, but the $50 price tag is a bit steep. I picked up a generic glass on eBay for $10. Came last night, install was hard but got it placed evenly.

Yeah, $50 is way too much. I would say that anything more than $20 is asking too much. You can get them for a pretty reasonable price elsewhere, and have still pretty good quality.

I agree with you on the price. I think ALL screen protectors are WAY overpriced. However, I seem to not do well with the cheaper ones. For my use, I feel as though I've gotten what I've paid for...both good and bad.

I just got one of the cheap eBay glass protectors for $8 shipped and I'm pretty happy with it. Definitely lost the anti-reflective coating but I can deal with that. I can't imagine spending 40+ for one of these things though.
