For those that have the beta installed, how is screen recording? That's one of the "smaller" features that I feel will be particularly useful.

Is anything cut off? How does it work with Snapchat; is audio cut off?

For some reason a screen recording has sound (when enabled) in the photos app. Sent one to my friend on Facebook messenger/ Facebook app it has no sounds

I did get it to play sound on Facebook app and Snapchat
 
Stupid though: while recording a blue bar appears on top of your screen (like when on a call or using the gps) and the bar appears in the screen recording...

Recording just the screen seems to work ok, but once you record something like game play it records in portrait mode even tho your playing in landscape....I hope this gets fixed.

Discovered this last night when trying the public beta. Screen recording works great and seems rock solid and smooth for me but I do get the landscape games recording in portrait mode in the vast number of games. I have sent this as feedback to Apple and hope others are doing the same.
One game, Aerofly 2, this issue happens but the recording occasionally jumps to the correct landscape orientation and everything looks fine then will jump back to portrait and the recording is all skewed again ii.e. height is stretched and width is squashed.

That would make sense. Those apps aren't' updated for iOS 11 so they might not have the proper codecs for sound

I am having that issue on my iPad mini as well. Seems to be working but no save. And i have plenty of space. I'm going to try some resetting settings etc before i send feedback.

I would assume yes. Just like I would assume Netflix etc can black the screen against recording like they did screenshots in iOS 10

There was a bug which would cause the screen recording to stop and not be saved when going to the notification centre. This has been fixed in PB2 but it still asks if you want to stop the recording after going to notification centre.

Maybe there is a related bug causing the issue for you?

I just tried again on PB2 and still nothing. Tried stopping it the same way I started it, and by tapping the blue bar at the top of the screen and then I chose stop when it asked. Nothing to be found in my camera roll or anywhere else in photos. It just doesn't seem to work.

Very strange, but it is a beta after all and there are lots of strange new bugs since PB2.
I assume you have tried rebooting the device and maybe you could try a reset of settings?
