How rampant is the screen stuttering issue on the 11" iPad Pro ? MacRumors is reporting the issue occuring on the 12" iPP of 2018. Can anyone confirm if there are seeing this issue on the 11" iPad Pro aswell?

I’ve started to have the stuttering issue on my 11 in the past week or so. Rebooting seems to help temporarily. Hoping it is just a software glitch that will be corrected in the next iOS version. Got so bad Friday I went back to using my 10.5.

iPad Pro 11 inch user here, having the same issue... the screen will stop responding to touch from time to time, and I have to switch the iPad off and on for it to work again... it is really infuriating, paid so much for a device only ended up with this kind of issue....

Happened a bunch today. Just trying to find the right reproduceable scenario and it’s Warranty replacement time it’s as if to save battery the display is visible but just not interactive until you tap a few times.

When it happen the next time, quickly take a video of it... might helps in claiming warranty...

The issue seems to be randomly affecting all iPad models starting from year 2017 (maybe even earlier) including 2018 and until now on. This includes replacements and refurbished models. During past year I've seen people having it with all pros, regular models and minis.

Seems to be reported the most often with the 2018 Pros.

This is the first time I am hearing about it and I have one.

So ‘could’ be a software issue then possibly?

There's an unrelated software issue that affects only iPad keyboard and YouTube player.

But the main issue discussed in this thread when touch is not working in any app is a problem with hardware.

It randomly affects all iPad models, appears after 3-12 months of usage and after it starts returns back to the iPad after hard software reset and any updates. So unfortunately no, it can't be software.

I think it’s a hardware issue. Something to do with the anti glare coating or grounding issues.
It started happening with my iPad 11 inch after I updated to iPadOS beta. Earlier I was jailbroken and on iOS 12.1.1. I do not remember having this issue then. Maybe it used to happen and was less prominent for me to notice.
But now it happens every few hour or so.

When I remove the charger the the affected area touch starts responding again. Usually happens when I am playing PUBG and I have to pick up some item. Tapping won’t work. As soon as I remove charger it works again.

Happens a lot when not charging too. Just to be clear.

Hope it is a software issue. Really getting frustrated.

I have had my iPad Pro 11 for about 7 months or so. I started to really suffer from this phenomenon about a month ago, and it got steadily worse. It seemed to happen a lot more in certain apps, particularly YouTube. I finally did a full reset and that seemed to stop it for a while. But it is starting to creep back again.

I can only assume it is a software issue, otherwise it would surely happen a lot more consistently. It is very frustrating though.

Do Apple recognise the issue?

No they don't! I visited Apple Store 3 times about this issue, every time they made a notice about the problem in their system. But every time I came they told me they saw it for the first time and nobody reported it.

I think we need a class action lawsuit like they did it with MacBook Butterfly keyboard - only then Apple recognized the problem.
