Ihave same problem With ipad Pro 2018 13.4.1I have an iPad Air 3 and since I updated to 13.4 my screen will be unresponsive to touch in random spots. Is this a coincidence or is there an issue in 13.4?
Same issue on my iPad Pro 10.5 inch, hard reset didn’t seem to help, hopefully iPadOS 13.4.1 issue.
Ihave same problem With ipad Pro 2018 13.4.1
boot helps but problem comes back occasionally. Seems to be software problem in ios 14.4.1
Would that explain why some people with iPhones (like me) are also experiencing the issue?Welcome to the club It looks exactly like an infamous hardware-related problem with all modern iPad models.
It affects all iPad models including iPad pros, minis, airs and normals. It cannot be fixed by anything. It starts after 6-12 months of usage (3 months for refurb models).
Here are more details on the issue:

This isn’t a software issue. It’s a hardware issue. I have more experience and know how about this issue compared to ANYBODY you’ll find on MR. If you have questions, PM me.

P.S. This hardware issue is caused by some random iOS update. Reverting back or DFU will do nothing to fix it.

I don’t think this affects LCD iPhones very often. It does happen but is rare. It does affect OLED iPhones though.
Exactly,I strongly disagree with DragonX and aakshey, as it is happening on my brand new iPad Air 3 which is just 3 months old. No physical damage whatsoever. I really believe its a software issue. Fingers crossed!Would that explain why some people with iPhones (like me) are also experiencing the issue?
I agree. Sometimes software can do weird things, especially when something like a firmware update is involved. It seems odd that it would be strictly a hardware issue and not a software issue, given that all different models of iOS devices of all different vintages are suffering from this. If I had to take a shot in the dark, I would say that Apple did something to mess with the settings for how sensitive the touchscreen is (maybe to optimize it for a new device?) and that started causing this issue.Exactly,I strongly disagree with DragonX and aakshey, as it is happening on my brand new iPad Air 3 which is just 3 months old. I have an iPhone SE and I have had the same issues as you. Likely it's a problem with the OS. Maybe a screen calibration thing?

I'm having comparable issues on both my iPhone SE (2016) and 6th gen iPad (2018), both running iOS and iPad OS 13.4.1. Frequent screen freezes and incredible lag sometimes. Had to hard-reset the iPad in the middle of a Group FaceTime call and switch to my Mac. To me it seems like a system software issue. which seems to be fairly recent, since a few weeks (iOS 13.4 or so).
Same on my devices. Sometimes everything is frozen but I still can swipe up the app.
So that confirms it was an update? If so, then that's good news.Hello Guys Good News!! (Maybe Atleast for iPad Air 3 owners)

Let's see!I honestly don’t think this will last long. Report back in 2 weeks. I am 100% sure you’ll witness some lockups over 2 weeks.
I am having the same problem on my iPad 10.2 2019 and on my iPhone 7I have an iPad Air 3 and since I updated to 13.4 my screen will be unresponsive to touch in random spots. Is this a coincidence or is there an issue in 13.4?

That's a heck of a lofty claim there. Fortunately for everyone else, it's just your opinion.
