No promo codes I guess, but this app looks so nice, I might have to pay the $5 for it, despite not really using RSS all that much.

It´s out here, hopefully it will be out in every part of the App Store soon :)

Got it! While is seems nice and works well (in my limited testing) I don't see a way to show only my new feeds or to show my feed folders as I've got them set up in google?

If you only want to see your new unread articles go to the overview section, or you can go to the individual feed and push the "show unread" button.

Feed folders are coming in the future update :)

hopefully not too far away, as currently having all feeds in one long list is a chore. But it is nice looking and, it's quick. But for the moment I'll probably continue with my existing because of the lack of folders.

Same here. Also had a couple of crashes. I'll keep my eye on it as I think in a few versions it will be an essential RSS viewer, but for now, I'll keep my current reader.

Definite potential. Only had a few minutes quick play with it but here is what I see so far...

Folders - as others already said, when you have a lot of feeds this is a must.

Swipe gesture - very hard to perform the gesture with one-hand using my thumb, in comparison the gesture works easy in Tweetie2

A way of hiding the items at the top of the main screen like MobileRSS allows

Even with Preview OFF, the article heading is a little too small to easily read

A global setting to SHOW UNREAD ONLY - having to keep going into each feed and hit the Unread button every time is cumbersome.

Don't show feeds that have been read on the main screen

Resize images to fit - already seen someone mention this to you on Twitter

Add support for opening the article via Google Mobilizer for when you are on a slow connection.

That's what I found within 5 minutes and I'm confident you'll address most of these pretty quickly, also you price point being twice what Reeder/MobileRSS etc is I'm hoping this also means plenty of updates and your continued great support :)

If you need any help with anything just shout me.

Like many I have been following the progress of this app and also waiting for it to appear in the app store. From the screen grabs/photographs it looks like a very polished app and possibly the best RSS reader available today.

I will not be purchasing it though, reason being. It's over priced and (I may be wrong) but I feel that the dev might have realised that the app would be well received and knowing this thought he squeezed in a price increase. IF the app was priced competitively from the release (say £1.59) I would have purchased without thinking about it.

I have been putting off buying MobileRSS which supports folders unlike v1 of this app. My mind is made up, sorry NewsPrint you've out priced yourself

Getting folders would indeed be nice. It's a nice looking app so far.

I have had a couple of 'crashes' as well. Crash is probably not the best word but like the screenshot posted above. I was able to open the app but not all the RSS feeds were listed. Kinda strange.

Other than those two issues, it's a very nice app. Enjoying it so far!

Think it will eventually become a great app, but right now I can't use it at all. Crash too much. For the little time I did get to use it, I could hardly read the previews. I will not try to use it again till it's fixed. Not sorry I purchased it, but it's nowhere near ready for prime time.

Based on the posts I have seen in this thread today and the poor ratings that I see in the App Store for this app, I am holding off buying this app. The deal breakers for me are no folders, no ability to globally set to show unread only, and not able to hide feeds that are read.

Also the price seems high compared to other RSS readers. Reeder is almost half the price and does all the things that I mentioned earlier.

I will revisit this app once changes have been made.

Rereading some of the earlier posts indicate that you are able to see unread only and that folders will be coming in a future release. I'll sit on the fence and see how the next update goes before pulling the trigger on this software. Doing just fine with Reeder at the moment.

I'll keep an eye on this though as it does show promise.

Actually, I'll do more than keep an eye on it. Turns out that I've grown rather fond of this app, folder and (minor) crash issues aside. It has actually replaced my previous reader just because it looks and works so well. Here's looking forward to the next update.

The crash issue is not (minor). Each time I launch the app, it start to update and immediately crash. Every time. It wasn't as bad yesterday. Still haven't written this app off though.

Minor for me

It has only crashed on me when I deleted a feed and it was cleaning up.

Thankfully I don't have that issue. I think it has crashed about four times at most and I've been using it loads. Annoying yes but not major.

I've uninstalled/reinstalled the app. I also got rid of many of my feeds. The worst problems seem to occur during downloading and saving. That's when it crash. Oh. It also need full screen.

I'm currently sitting on NetNewsWire for iPhone, is this app (or Reeder) significantly better?

Same question I have. If anyone has used Reeder, how does this app compare? I have not had any crashes in Reeder. It's been very stable.

Wow, I dumped NNW ages ago, especially after its update. Yes, I think this is far better.

Yeah, I kinda guessed. There are just so many RSS readers out there it's hard to know what to go for. Had Byline for a while, but syncing was taking literally like 10 minutes (compared to maybe one on NNW).

Very tempted by Newsprint. Like the style, seems very Tweetie-ish. Just need to know that syncing is swift.

EDIT: Caved and took the plunge, impressions shortly...

IMPRESSIONS:

Seems nice, but there's one thing they seriously need to fix. When viewing a story and scrolling down the headline etc stay at the top, taking up half the screen. Why not have it simply scroll up? It was a design decision, but for what reason I do not know...

As you can see the header and top/bottom bars take up ~50% of precious iPhone screen real estate, which is a problem IMO. Simply make the header scroll like it should, it only needs to be at the top of the article!
