Perhaps I am one of those people with more acute cones in my retina, it's a curse I guess.

I guess so, but it might be a bless, you need to try some painting career. or graphic design. :D

It is theoretically difficult to make anything perfect, like macbook whose screen is uneven during the first several minutes of starting up.

I think at this stage, the solution is wait, through time, you will get use to it.

hey your not crazy man. It's very hard to tell but i've noticed this as well.

there should be a lil hint of yellow hue near the home button... or at least it is for me.

I think the people that seem to see yellow in every display need to have their eyes checked. Are you looking for faults???

I don't have this issue. Seems like MOST of the phones DON'T have this issue to me based on the posts here

i have this issue...i've noticed it since day one. It is very noticable on against a white background or when the screen is on but is still booting after a reset.

My eyes are fine. I'm not being too critical. Im talking about an iPhone. I'm not taking it back. Eventhough it is annoying, I like my iPhone. I like THIS one. It would feel weird giving it back...

So, this IS a ligitimate complaint. Those of you trying to discredit our claims are jackasses. Please find something better to do.

Well, I was showing my boyfriend something on my phone when I noticed a yellow splotch. After I looked closer, I could see three yellow splotches across the bottom of the screen. The phone worked fine, but those spots were annoying. Once you see it, you can't ignore it. I went to the Apple store and got another phone. It only had one yellow splotch in the lower right hand corner. I paid $599 for that thing and that is not acceptable. I exchanged it for a 3rd phone and it is fine. My boyfriend's phone was fine. We looked at all the many iPhones on display at the Apple store and several of them had the yellow splotches. I'm not going to guess on a percentage of phones that may have this problem, but from what I have seen, it does seem that it is a problem.

Another example of people just trying to find something wrong. My phone doesn't have this problem at all. It is perfect. I almost thought I was reading the MBP section. :(

Well, my iPhone is fine too, but that doesn't mean that some iPhones out there don't have this problem. I've seen this issue on a few of them myself, and I wasn't exactly looking for it either, so it's not like people are making this up. If my iPhone had spots like these on it's screen, I most certainly would have exchanged mine for another one too.

I was not trying to find something wrong. The phone was a good two feet from me when I saw it. I LOVE Apple and have bought MANY of their products. This was the first time I ever requested an exchange. If your phone was spotless, that is great, but don't act like it isn't a valid complaint just because yours didn't have it.
