My standby time was excellent until I installed DIGITS from T-Mobile. Ever since then android OS keeps the device awake even after 3 factory resets without reinstalling DIGITS. I am not sure what to do.

Return and get a new one....

Google "digits t-mobile battery" and you'll see that there has been a number of issues reported with this app and battery drain across different devices.

I had a Tab S3 and I sold it to buy a 9.7 Pro. I upgraded the 9.7 to 10.5 Pro at release as I was still within the return period. Battery life on 10.5 Pro kicks the Tab S3 as it will stay at 100% for over 24 hrs when in sleep mode if I don’t use. I do prefer the 10.5 screen size over the Tab S3. Things I miss from the Tab S3:
- ability to use a Samsung Bluetooth mouse. I can only use a Citrix mouse within Citrix Receiver app on my 10.5 Pro
- Android has a way better file system app over the iOS 11 file system

Things I prefer on the 10.5 Pro:
- Bigger screen
- Apple Pencil is awesome
- battery life is awesome
- Apple Smart Keyboard is so thin compared to what was available for the Tab S3 line

If you already have the Tab S3, I'd keep it.

Yes, battery life with an iPad would definitely be longer, but aside from that...the S3 is otherwise a decent tablet.

But it's your money...

I still use my Tab Pro 8.4 over my ipad2 for movies and videos daily.

Having to use iTunes or a kludgey way to put movies/video on my iPad is way too much hassle compared to the ease of just plugging a USB cable and dropping the files over with a click or two (on Android).
