Are you selling any of your gadgets in order to buy the iPad? i.e. Kindle? PSP? iPod Touch? MacBook? Netbook? or comic books? or anything else?

I have a Black MacBook and a 23" Apple Monitor. I may sell the MB and get the iPad and Mini. But there are too many questions still about the real capability of the iPad to make any decisions at this point.

yea my ipod touch. i want a bigger screen. i dont care if it doesnt fit snug in my jeans. ill carry it like a netbook.

Trying to sell my netbooks but nobody will freaking buy them. Even at nearly give away prices.

:(

I don't have a lot of gadgets to sell :D

Actually, I've been thinking about an iPod Touch but didn't like the small form factor it has. The iPad is almost perfect for what I want. Now I need to decide if I want/will use the 3G or not. GPS is more likely, but I don't think I'll use the 3G enough to justify the extra $130. Guess I'll wait a bit before I get one.

I sold tons of stuff to get the money I needed. Blackberry bold, imac g4, 90 dollar car service manual set, bluetooth car kit, and some other car parts. Needless to say I now have enough plus a little extra for a dock! :D

If I decide to get one (still very skeptical) I'll probably sell my iPod touch as I use my Nexus One for most my music.

My DX is hitting the road.

Not really for a money issue, but more of a no need for with the smaller kindle and the ipad.

I've saved up $1,000 since mid-2009 in anticipation of Apple's tablet. :D
Planning to go in on Day 1 and buy a 64GB w/o 3G, the iPad Case, the Dock and around $150 in iTunes.

This brings up a thought. Since iPad will hold value much better than a netbook, a higher price for an iPad should be discounted to reflect that.

We'll likely sell my wife's MacBook to get an iPad to share. She rarely uses it, but would probably pick the iPad up off the table to check her email and Facebook more readily.

Not selling to finance an iPad but rather selling due to it being made redundant by the iPad I'm buying. 1 x Fujitsu Stylistic ST5112 4GB Ram + all accessories, etc.

I sold off my MacBook Pro (the one in my sig, guess I need to update it) and will be buying a 64MB+3G. Technically, I would have sold the MBP anyway, since my need for it has severely dropped, but I am definitely saving a portion of it aside for the iPad. I have already put $200 down to reserve on at my local Mac store.

They let you put money down to reserve one?

considering selling my MBP and using ipad and my mac mini.

but I'm not convinced how usable day to day the ipad will be, both for sofa surfing and VNCing into the mini, so I'll keep my MBP for a while to see how I get on.
