Well the camera would cost Apple about 7 dollars maybe less. The 3g is only like 15 (both estimations) if it is another 130 for 3g I would hate to have to pay another, 60 for a camera, that probably wouldn't be near as good as the one on my macbook and would get used even less. The only time I have used my camera, is to take my login picture when I first got it.

And I believe you are in the minority, I am young as well, and I have used a webcam one time in my life and that was about three years ago when I couldn't make it home for Christmas.

You are wrong, 3g licencing fees amount to something near $120.

Cameras on notebooks/netbooks/desktops are there for the same reason many want one on an iPad. It's inexpensive hardware, and it opens up the added possibilities limited only by your imagination.

For most people that means sexting with video. ;)
