How are you measuring "top 5". Usage? Because that is not an indicator. GS3, GS4 have fantastic cameras. Battery life on iPhones has always been terrible to average.

Terrible to average battery life? What are they comparing it to? An iPad? I used a GS3 for well over a year and can easily say the battery SUCKS compared to the 5s. I got MAX 2.5 hrs screen time. And trust me, I did everything possible to squeeze out more juice. My 5s easily gets 8 hrs usage over a 2 day period. I know this isn't screen time however, I would say it's 5-6 hours screen on time. Don't even mention standby time, my S3 would drain 3-5% per hour not even touching it, everything off, all apps closed, no apps running in the background, data turned off. My 5s drains 1% every 90 min or so without closing apps and with data left on. The power management on android is extremely subpar. Even the Note 3 has gotten worse, I read today the battery has gotten significantly worse, Michael from pocketnow sometimes only get 2 hrs of screen on time now after he's been using it for a while.

You must have some jacked up batteries or installing a specific app that's killing your battery juice. I would play games for 2-3 hours straight or watch full movies on a GS3 and still had a little over 40% battery life left. You were doing something wrong.

No actually, I had 3 different samsung oem batteries that I would cycle through, all we're basically equally long-lasting. If I were to pull it off the charger and play a game for 2 hours I probably would have 40% left. But then I out it in my pocket for a few hours when I'm doing whatever and I'm down to 25% then the battery lasts about 30 min of use after that and boom, it was dead. Thus, only 2-3 hours of screen time. iOS, on the other hand, really does a great job with battery management. I would guess if I was gaming for 2 hours straight, which I never do, I would be at 40-60%. Similar to the gs3, maybe slightly better. However when I stick it in my pocket for a few hours I'll be at practically right where I left it, it hardly drains when sitting idle. Thus, why one can get 5-6 hours of screen time on the 5s. Also, the battery drain on my s3 was not linear at all, even when new it would last only a few min for the last 5% or so. Last night I managed to kill my 5s, the last 5% lasted me about 35 min, just as the drop from 95 to 90 would. Don't even tell me I had an app killing my s3, I used the betterbatterystats religiously to get better battery life, I rooted, ran stock kitkat, can kernels, had nothing improved it that much.

I'm referring to my own experiences. Since last spring I've used a Lumia 920, 1020, and 1520, a GS4 and a Nexus 5, an iPhone 5 and 5s.

The GS4 is the worst camera of the bunch, based on my actual usage of all those devices. Obviously something like the 1020 is an anomaly camera wise, and you pay for it with the "hump" on the back, but even excluding that phone my opinion would remain the same. I take a lot of pictures, but I'm not a pro or anything. Just going on every day use I found Samsung to have really missed the mark.

I'd love to see something like a GS4 or Note with a camera as good as the 1520. There is no reason Samsung couldn't pull that off.
