I have to say that there are bad third-party batteries out there, and I'm speaking from experience. There are a few good ones though and the last I've tried for my 5S is a battery kit from Scanditech. Awesome kit, easy to follow guides.

Oh, and since you asked about performance, no difference at all. There might be a difference in performance but too insignificant to notice.
