Tried Share ETA for the first time with the Mrs yesterday... both of us on 13.2 PB1.
She didn't get any notification at all.
It was only when I got home and fired up the Maps app on her phone there was the info that I was sharing my ETA/location.
A bug I presume?

Hopefully that's moving in the right direction

That's farther then I get, they get zero notifications and zero info on the map

I always get a Maps notification on my phone, it does not trigger on the Watch but that‘s understandable since you can follow along in Maps as well as contact her. Seems to work perfectly here. It will also update if the original arrival time changes and again as she nears my location. I believe this was working with the initial 13.0. Anyway it’s been quite a while and my wife and I are quite pleased with the feature.

Yeah a bunch of us send eta but recipients never get the notification or anythings on maps.

There seems to be a separate “share your location” option that now has to be enabled or approved. It used to be through messages now I think it’’s under the Find app. We both had to enable that on our devices but since then have not had an issue.

Yes that option lets you share a location constantly with family or approved others. Did you turn that off and now share eta works?

No we just made sure it was set for indefinitely on both our phones. Whether that made the eta work or it was already working I don’t know, but it has always worked since 13 debuted.

That is awesome news, mocciat! I look forward to applying 13.2 tonight - hoping this finally puts this issue to rest!

I love the Share ETA feature. I use it all the time when I'm leaving work. As noted, Pre iOS13 my wife would just get a text. Now she gets the Maps notification and can follow me. Neither one of us have Share Location enabled in Location Services but it still works for Maps.

I hadn't been on the receiving end until yesterday. My wife shared her ETA to my son's baseball game since they were in traffic. Now I was using Navigation so I couldn't follow. But then once I got there, I opened up Maps and the first Siri suggestion was to follow my wife's route. I tapped that and it showed where she was and her route to me including traffic and ETA. Pretty slick.
