The Psionic Plane
Theater (recently rebuilt - just got rid of a projector setup and replaced all of the equipment):

15’x17’ room 9.5’ ceiling.

ATV 4K
LG C1 OLED (83”) we used to sit 12’ from 100” screen, now at 9 1/2’ and it looks bigger - nice trade off.
Anthem MRX 1140 (7.2.4 configuration)
Klipsch Reference Premiere (8060FA x4, 8000F x2, RP-504c, SPL-120 x2)
Panasonic UB9000 for BDs

4 Seatcraft Diamanté seats with SoundShakers (curved row), had two rows of 3, but rarely used more than 4 seats.

Rotated the room so the OLED is on the 17’ wall….Pure Audio Nirvana. Speaker placement in this configuration is optimal for this size of a room and it’s fantastic. OLED is a better display for the ATV vs a projector, plus it added Dolby Vision capability for it and the BD player which a projector can’t do.

Family Room:

ATV 4K
LG C1 (77”)
Bose 900 Soundbar with Sub

No place for surrounds, but the up-firing speakers add some nice effects. We call it Atmos sort of.?

Bedrooms (x3):

ATV 4K
LG C1 (48”)
Bose 300 Soundbar with Sub

Atmos in a bedroom would be a bit much.?

Who needs a movie theater anymore?

Wow, nice theater setup!
Thanks!

It is surely a joy. When we built the house a few years back all I wanted was a home theater so we went all in with The projector and a 7.1 setup. I thought we would just add in ceiling speakers at some point, but the image wasn’t always quite right with ATV. I think the screen was just too big so it showed. It was horrid. I think the ATV is better suited for OLED/LED. After they jumped to 80”+ screens I thought I’d give it a shot and the results are phenomenal. Couldn’t be more pleased, plus with the 8060s I didn’t need to crawl around the attic. Moved the 8000Fs to the surrounds, picked up the 8060s and bam! A bit over powering if the Volume is set too high and a commercial comes on during a TV show, but otherwise a far better setup than what I had. Plus the company I bought the 8060s from bought the projector and screen leaving just the OLED to pay for. Sweet deal.
