Thank you! They were best friends. Sadly, the smaller one on the right, my wife’s dog, passed last year. I take great comfort in this picture as these two were together all the time.

i wish their lifespan would be intended longer than these 10-15 yrs
The pop up can be turned off in shortucts. I dont have custom icons but i use alot of shortcuts for other things. For example, i have a shortcut that runs to automatically turn off screen rotation lock whenever I open any video streaming app like youtube. I then have another shortcut that runs to turn the rotation lock back on when I close those same apps. Just little things that refine the experience and run silently in the background.
I just tried a shortcut for an icon and get a Tick popping up at the top of the screen. Can’t see how to turn it off as @DR3MCLAREN says. Any help to turn it off would be appreciated.
Sorry, may have spoken too soon. I guess my shortcuts are all technically automations... which you can run without a notification. I'll have to play with the shortcuts a bit more I guess.
Can you screen record and share if possible..
Edit nvm I know what you mean now ..small screen tick by my Island shows the app when using shortcuts
