I got the incase macbook air sleeve to be used with my new 2nd Gen MBA 13.3. I was a little worried when looking for a sleeve as the new MBA is a little thinner, but thought with the footprint being the same it should fit fine. The incase MBA sleeve is quite expensive when bought directly from Apple/InCase so I grabbed mine off ebay for much less and as Incase are probably going to re-release soon with an 11" version too I would say 3rd party bargains are the best option for picking one of these up.
The design of the case is very simple, no studs or zippers, which was the main thing that attracted me to this model. The quality of materials is excellent with soft stretchy neoprene outer and faux fur lining. The fit is perfect for the new air, it slides in and out easily but is a really good snug fit (as a sleeve should be). It's design requires you to stretch the end piece over your MBA to close the case, this works well and is seconds nature after the first few times you use it.
Protection, is pretty minimal. As you can see the profile of the case keeps the size and weight to a minimum, which is exactly how it should be with a something like the macbook air. It will protect from every day bumps and scratches but would offer little protection in the case of a drop onto a hard floor etc. I would recommend this sleeve for general use, just something to keep your MBA fresh while using round the house etc, or to be used when throwing your MBA in your main bag or backpack.
So all in all, I am pretty pleased with it, can't think of anything I don't like for a negative. I suppose the closing lid may get loose/baggy over extended use, only time will tell I guess.
