Yep, the black one I picked up at the local Apple Store is extremely tight and has the Incase logo on the outside of the side opposite to the opening, not on the side with the opening as your picture/movie shows. The opening bows open when the Air is inside because the case is too small. Guess I'll bring it back...

Maybe you accidentally got one for the Macbook instead?

That would be way too loose, not too tight. Also the incase macbook sleeves have zips etc.

Mine looks like the version pictured here...notice how the Incase logo is on the non-opening side as opposed to your photos/movies. This one does not seem to fit the new 13" Air too well IMO.

Ah, they moved the branding to the rear of the case.

Interesting, Incase doesn't even list the plus sleeve on their website anymore. Maybe yours is an older model from when the Airs first came out.

Dunno, but the one listed on incase now (albeit sold out) is the same as mine

That's interesting. When I asked at the Apple Store if they had any sleeves for the Macbook Air, the salesperson had to go into the back to pull out the one I linked to. Maybe it's an older, discontinued version

I guess the lesson is avoid the Incase Neoprene Sleeve Plus for the Macbook Air, the "Plus" being the poorer fitting model. Yours seems like a much better fit.

Sounds like that's the case, maybe they withdrew the 'plus' for being too tight. I had heard of people finding the incase for MBA too tight, but it sounds like they too may have ended up with the 'plus'. All the ones on ebay currently seem to be the same model as mine (black and burgundy currently).

Hmm, that's interesting. So your branding looked different to this?

seems I'm not the only one who experienced the new version being "too tight" a shame cause I really liked the look of that sleeve.

btw, like i mentioned, the tag shown above was stitched flat on mine so it doesn't protrude.

Oh right, new colours and packaging maybe, can't see them changing the manufacturing for the tiny difference in thickness. Unless they are taking the opportunity for a completely new design.

Got a bit excited then at the thought of an official Apple case :D

:D an official apple would be welcomed

im waiting for the 11.6" version or i would have just ordered this one. Seems like you like it :)

I have the incase, it's terrible. The one I have might not be a good representation, but if it is then it's a pointless sleeve IMO. It slides in and out well, isn't too bulky, but the opening does not join together when the sleeve is on. There is a noticeable gap, which means the macbook air could get scratched.

It is an official incase sleeve, not a copy. I"m not sure if I have a dud, but I'm definitely not a fan

I had a Be ez case for my macbook and was very happy with it, and before that I used Crumplers and Tucano's. This is the first time I've felt a sleeve was of very poor design.

Sounds like the older "plus" version that I tried.
