is there any way to bypass the iCloud activation lock?

Yes, shops with the T203 tool can do it easily.

Depends largely on where you live and the technical ability of the repair shops around you.

Aside from the fact that it’s probably stolen, I wouldn't want a 2019 model anyways. I would look for something else if you’re on a budget. Perhaps an M1 Macbook Air

Out of all the laptops to purchase in the free world, you want to buy one that is locked? No way!

I love how people immediately think its stolen.

90% of people have no idea how icloud works. An extreme majority of these devices are just wiped and sold. I buy an sell a lot of apple gear and i have literally never been handed a device that was free of icloud. Every damn time i have to remind the seller to remove the device from their apple account or it will be useless for me.

You can't wipe a 2019 MBP if it is still iCloud locked.

I have to say its a gamble to buy a icloud locked for parts mac. But stop saying theyre all stolen. There is a huge surplus of not stolen mdm managed or icloud locked laptops out there. just because your a cynical person does not mean every for parts laptop thats locked is stolen.

to be 100% clear its like saying every masterlock combination lock out there is stolen. well im sure some are. but ALL of them. No chance. NO CHANCE. I have over 30 that were from a company that has no interest in unlocking, providing passwords, or information on unlocking them. Not 1 is stolen.

I have processed THOUSANDS of not stolen macbooks that were surplus from large company refreshes in the same way. Think about it. When a school, or institution does a refresh do you think they pay an additional $80k to unlock laptops theyre only interested in getting rid of.

also if anyone has figured out how to unlock these please post info LOL

Those eBay Macs are barely parts these days. The Touch ID is bound to the logic board. So you’re just left with speaker, display and touch pad parts. Battery too if you’re skilled enough.

Yeah, im with you. Let me know if you need any lol.. batteries on most of them have expanded and some popped. Macbook batteries are the worst. I was really looking for help for a current buyer of one that was unexpectedly locked

iFixit has a guide to using the T203 tool. It does involve removing the T2 chip from the motherboard for reprogramming so does require decent technical ability.
