The blooming issue is overrated and these negative comments are written buy people who does not have iPad Pro 2021.
I have absolutely no problem with blooming issue.
The complaints about blooming reminds me about the massive concern over burn-in on Apple OLED panels. Blooming is possible to provoke for the Pro Display XDR as well, but that does not make it a bad display.

Having just bought a M1 12” IPP it’s very difficult to see blooming unless you have night / dark mode enabled and are in a totally dark environment.
Then it’s noticeable. Imaging a completely black screen with a white play button in the middle. If your surrounding light is dark you’ll see the blooming. Otherwise it’s very hard to see.
I’ve only seen it a few times.

If you want an incredible screen, yes. I would have been so bummed if I listened too literally to the whining and didn’t buy this excellent iPad. Watching content is remarkable. Blooming is a rare and narrow impact. It does exist but I don’t think it should be considered a serious impediment to buying this iPad. The screen is only a selling point not a weakness.
