Give it a few months. The violet is still fairly new. People won’t be willing to part with until new colors come along etc.

Should I give up hoping for the Ultraviolet sport band?

Ok you know I’m new at this. I am pretty satisfied with my collection and look forward to new colors, but I would like to top it off with the darn UV.

I too have been searching for the UV band to match my iPhone X case. So frustrating. Also, I am hoping it wasn’t discontinued... it seems the sold out message is an indication of this, historically. Fingers crossed we both find one!!
If you look closely at best buy page, they don’t have any. They can’t get something that is discontinued and out of stock at Apple. Trust me I tried that long ago. Thank you for trying though.

Being stuck by lightning would put an end to all this searching LOL. Wonder if the new colors will have a purple, there aren’t many shades of that.You have a better chance at being struck by lightning.
That is a good question. As far as I know, Lilac and Ultra Violet have been the only purple colors released. I am looking forward to the new band colors. Hopefully, there will be many I like.
I’m hoping there aren’t too many I like.. one would push my budget, but I might just keep saving for the UV.

I see she has a few other colors also. I'm not liking that one negative feedback (watch band smells bad) that she has though.
I just stumbled across this thread. I recently picked up the Series 3 at the Apple Store in Hong Kong and am almost certain I saw the Ultra Violet band. Let me check again the next time I pass the store which is at least once a week.
Man my iPad color must be off.. that looks totally blue to me. Oh geeze I didn’t see that feedback but she couldn’t have had the uv long.. hope it doesn’t smell.
What’s weird and funny is I googled it to show my granddaughter what color it was because it looks right elsewhere.. and your exact photo, linked to here, was in my image results and it looked half bluish there but more purple than in this forum. And the other photos looked correct. Very weird.

This photo was taken with a cheap camera using the flash. The real color is more of a pastel purple.
