Do NOT jailbreak.

You're happy with your iPhone like it is. Most people who jailbreak just miss some things, and a jailbreak offers these missing things. You don't miss it, it's nice as an extra, but again you don't miss it.

You're happy with your battery life, and with a jailbreak your battery will drain much faster. You should only jailbreak if you miss something, and a jailbreak offers that missing thing.

Jailbreaker

I did it after upgrading to 3.1. I thought that it would undo some of the crap that 3.1 had done.(no tthering) Well it didnt. It is kinda neat..you can have lotsa wallpapery kind of changes. Keep wallpaper while looking at dekstop. But really..if you still have 3.0 I wouldnt bother. Any of the good games and stuff still cost, just like itunes.(XBox, nintendo stuff) There is a neat VLC app, but no way to really use it. Itdoesnt take the place of Q-time. It shows all of these folders, but no way to put stuff in them. I tried airshare but its too complicated to move files to vlc-accessible flders. So it really was quite useless. Now if you are a programmer or something, you can download terminal, various shells, only thing is..even using Linux I really was unable to "see" the folder structure of the iphone.
Its 6 of one, half a dozen of another to me. I restored my iphone. No harm done. Try it. It wont hurt anything, but think there was a time when it was a good idea..but what app do you want that you cant get at itunes?
They have everything.

Wut-ev.

I'm sick of Safari ads. And I wanted an AdBlock like I have on my Mac-Safari. That's my man reason for breaking free. And I see no battery difference, even with other customizations. Jailbreaking killing your battery, that's a crock of crap. Sure if you background everything your battery will drain faster...um common sense?
