I can’t decide on anything :/

But I’m thinking of going with choice B as talked about in my earlier post.

If anyone can give me a solid reason for choice A please let me know!!!

I would go with Option A. It’s better to have it and not need it, than not to have it.

Plus, take the accident protection out of it, it’s still nice to have an extra year of warranty. With some of the new tech in the X, I would personally prefer the longer warranty.

Here's my question:

If a person can easily afford a new iPhone X if they broke theirs, without any issue, by paying cash and not even knowing it on their bill at the end of the month, should they be saying

A) AppleCare+ is only ~200 bucks. I'll get it

OR

B) I don't need AppleCare+ bc if mine breaks I can get another no issue

It is called “self insuring”.

I have never purchased Apple Care, I also use Apple Leather case on my iPhone X and have dropped the phone several times already. The case itself has some dents and scratches, but no damage on the phone whatsoever.

Just this morning I dropped my X in its leather case, smashed screen. Should be fixed thru the Apple Store with my AC+ shortly.

If either will seemingly do,

then as a person in this situation, for my own situation, I’ll just pick B.

If anyone can give me a solid reason for A, given my situation, then I’m very open.
You're a grown adult (I'm assuming) who clearly has the money to buy another one outright if you break your current one and capable of making your own decision about what you want to do. Stop trolling and figure it out yourself.

At first I thought most members were being a little rude to OP. Flash forward to now... I’m about two posts from starting a go fund me to get OP AppleCare + so we can end this thread. :D

Darn! I’m using an Apple leather case and don’t have Apple care plus. Still have time to buy it tho.

How did it fall? Like was it head height? Waist height? And also did fall on hardwood? Concrete?
It doesn't matter how someone else's phone fell as it could fall differently at different times for different people, and even if it falls the same way the result could still be different at different times. It's pretty much moot (especially after all the discussion that has already happened in this thread and all kinds of other similar ones).

I have always used Apple leather cases on my iPhones and have dropped them about 4 times face down on cement from about 3 feet. The case has gotten scuffed but the phones have never gotten a mark on them. Obviously a screen or phone can get damaged from a fall regardless of case so it depends on whether you want to pay upfront for Apple Care or take a chance and pay big bucks for accidental damage. My decision is not to pay for Apple Care on my phones or iPads which I can afford to replace in the unlikely event that I have to, but I always get Apple Care for my MacBook Pros.

Did you use a screen protector?

I’m not using a screen protector on my X.

The reason is that bc I had one for my 6S, dropped it on concrete, and the screen protector broke.

No problem right? WRONG

The screen got a crack and still does to this day.

Obviously YMMV though. I’m sure a screen protector helps for other people.

There's basically a pretty good summary of it all right there: "YMMV"
