This doesn't answer what I am talking about. There is no evidence that every store tracks you by your bluetooth ID or wifi signal, and catalogs your visits. There is no evidence in your article about the trackability of the U1 chip that others are suggesting should be turned off.You don’t need factual evidence for the claim. It’s just how Bluetooth and WiFi works. That’s the reason people who are concerned with privacy have their visibility turned off or have their WiFi network hidden.

Normally when you're walking around with a WiFi-enabled device, if it's not connected to a network, it's broadcasting probes in order to try and find known networks. These probes would be sent using ywww.imore.com
I understand that having wireless technologies enabled allow other devices to see you, but thats a leap from what the poster I quoted was talking about.
