When you buy a Nike or Hermes band, how does the band communicate that to the watch?
Am I missing something?

It doesn’t. All Apple Watches have access to the Nike faces these days. You don’t have to buy a special Nike edition watch to get the faces. For Hermes faces, you have to buy the Hermes watch. Just buying a band won’t give you access to the Hermes faces.

I mean I would prefer to wait for a seller that does take returns, so if anyone wants to buy that listing, go ahead lol. But it is tempting. Honestly, $150 would be the regular price Apple charges for this.

I have a titanium S10.

Non Hermes.

When I tried to scan a Hermes strap's QR code, nothing happened.

There's probably some code in there somewhere, to stop non-Hermes watches from using Hermes faces.

If you use a link to an Apple Watch face that is a Hermes face, you will get an error message on the Apple Watch app that this face is unavailable for your Apple Watch. This happens if you wear a regular Apple Watch or Nike one.

I've got two NFL sport bands, but I don't wear them too often since they run on M/L sizing, and the Amazon reviews mention that the logos tend to fade if worn too much.

I love using my iPhone camera to capture how the Apple Watch bands pair with accessories like beads and rings. My last profile picture featured my Apple Watch with a pink leather strap and a ribbon flower pin. I also just got a modern buckle band a couple of days ago... Do you like the leather link?

I tried on the leather link band and I like how the magnets hold everything together but I'm not sure about the looks. I also have to consider how easy it is to adjust, which the leather link does well. With Sport Bands I switch between 3rd and 4th holes depending on the time of the day. This is also why I don't have any Sport Loops since I'd never "fit" that one size all the time.

IMO the leather link isn’t bad. I have the Ink one and it looks great and can be worn with dressy clothes, and if you don’t want buckles on your Watch. I usually am on the 3rd hole and only the second hole of my sport band if I want it tighter, on the small/medium sport band on the 41mm bands. Sport loops are infinitely adjustable, just has Velcro strips on it.

Ahh... got the name wrong. I was trying to say I can't have Solo Loops, not Sport Loops. You are right, Sport Loops are adjustable. Apple has too many things with similar names. Don't even get me started on their overuse of the terms "Apple Account" and "Apple TV".
