I have always worn a case on my Apple Watch just as I always keep my iPhone in a case. Maybe they are not needed, but I can be fairly rough on watches and would rather be safe than sorry. Maybe removing the case when a more dressy look is required would work for me. That said, I could not be more pleased with this Urban Armor Gear case and band. Extremely comfortable and protective as well.

i used to use a clear case out of fear of breaking the watch but then decided to go naked and have never looked back

How do you like the Urban Armor Gear band after wearing it for a while? Do you have very much extra velcro showing or does it bug you? Do you think the band is long enough for larger wrists? Thanks!

"I have fairly small wrists and this is where it hits on me so a larger wrist would have any additional 3 or 4 inches. The bands, I have an orange and a black, are very comfortable and secure for all day and night wear."

Thanks! That is very helpful! I was looking at the same color of band as well.

While I don’t always wear a case on my AW3, I do like Spigen Rugged Armor for around the house jobs or work outside. I wore my AW series 1 with no case for a year and had maybe 3 minuscule scratches that you had to squint at to see.

Wanted to temporarily switch from grey to silver. Thought this didn't look too bad…

Would you please share a link to this case? I have been looking for one. The one I tried impeded the crown and it is difficult to turn.

I had the Otterbox case for the series 5, it was one of my favorites but it didn’t work well with a screen protector 😡. The UAG case works wayyy better but it’s on the bulkier side and it doesn’t sit right in my mophie wireless charging dock. 😡.

Just a heads up but the rigid hard plastic cases did scratch up my SS5. I did polish them out. I have a soft rubber case and it works great! It has taken some wallops and watch survived.

Spigen Slim Case. I have always liked Spigen, having a handful of their cases for my phone and iPad. They are never my favorite, but always solid design, quality materials and their slim line is usually moe "basic" and solid than other brands, in a good way.

Their slim Apple Watch case is very much in line with the ethos, and theres not the really else like it on the market. I like it a lot. It gives the watch barely any bulk but has good protection from random knocks. I dont use a screen protector, so this is not 100% safe from damage, but it helps with most bumps and dings for sure.

Many people will not like the embossed logo on the bottom. I actually like it, and think it is a cool addition to the design, which would otherwise be a little basic. But I like cool looking branding personally. I suspect most people do, but not most product aficionados.

I alternate between cases 😅. While I’d love to just wear my Apple Watch naked, I’m too clumsy, will inevitably damage it, then regret it post-damage. In the photos below:

— LK Tempered Glass case
— Ringke Bezel Case (my favorite due to slim profile)
— Smiling Apple Watch case (TPU)

Admittedly doesn't look bad. If you work in a machine shop or something I can see....maybe. But the surest way to begin damage to your watch's case is to put a "protective" case on it. Debris will be trapped immediately, and since most folks won't clean it out frequently, you'll actually get scratches you wouldn't get otherwise.

This is a really important point. Cases are only as good as the cleanliness under them. If there is even a speck of dust underneath the case, it will rub between the case and screen/finish and damage the watch. Some dust (lots actually) is crystalline and "sand" like. This will grind against the watch. Not using a case allows the dust to naturally roll off and away. If you arent 100% committed to cleaning out the case every morning, I would not recommend using one.

Got a spigen in and I like a lots. Just in case you are undecided about getting a black watch and have an SS this is what both look like side by side. SS with case and SB Ti

Misxi case from Amazon.

How do you like this case? Got my first Apple Watch (SE) a week ago and am debating screen protector, the Misxi case or just no protection. I’m half paranoid when doing things like transferring laundry between washer and dryer.

It is a pretty good case! Slim and looks good. Comes with two cases. I was washing my car and it protected my watch from scratch. The side of the watch hit my SUV crossbar when I was drying it.

I've got caseologies on all of our watches (3 of them). The spigen looks nice, though. Back when I purchased the spigen were bulky.

Thanks for the responses!
I'm kinda leaning more towards these cases to see how well it works vs using a screen protector due to how much easier it is to install.
I was looking at the Rhinoshield one but it looks like it adds so much bulk. (As an aside, their email mentions their Black Friday deal will start tomorrow).
