I really want one of these, but I can't justify spending the money

I have two of these and a variety of lenses (the one in the pic isn't my actual camera)

I like to shoot from the hip with this bad boy.

Joking aside, the company I work for owns this thing which has been collecting dust on the floor above me for years. It's a Deardorff banquet camera. It shoots 12x20 format. Sorry for the poor pic, it's in a room with no light and crammed up against a corner. For reference, the base of the camera starts at my hip and the top is a little over my head. I'm 6'3". I'm trying to get out photo department to track down some original prints made with it.

The Minolta is film and I'll be purchasing a new battery for it shortly. I recently sold the Nikon.

That hasn't stopped me... ;) ;) ;)

It's not *that* much film; I just bought 100 rolls of expired, freezer-stored slide film (120 and 35mm; all of which performs beautifully), plus I'd estimate I have about 100 rolls of colour neg film (120 and 35mm) in there, so that's only 200 rolls. I've got about 30 rolls of various B&W in the cupboard, and about 30 rolls of CineStill, Superia 400, and Portra 400 in my fridge for everyday use.

And 30 rolls of expired 400H, Portra 400NC, and 160VC (all in 220) coming to me.

Oh, and 8 boxes of instant film in the fridge, too.

Actually, come to think of it, I *may* have a problem.

That's funny, I have my little freezer because my wife complained that the film was taking up too much space in the fridge. She got me the freezer too--it was being made redundant at her office, so it was a freebie. I had to cut out the icemaker to make more room.
 
My first ever camera...

My old Kodak bakelite Brownie. It used to be my dad's camera - he gave it to me when I was a kid and it really fired up my interest in photography.





The only other old film camera I would have kept hold of is my beloved Olympus Trip 35. Unfortunately it was in the saddlebags of my Kawasaki GPz1100 when they parted company somewhere along the M1 in 1984. Thankfully the bags flew to the side of the road avoiding any incident. They were picked up by a lorry driver and handed in to the police. When I retrieved them from the Police two things were missing: my Olympus Trip, and perhaps more worryingly, my Speedos.
