I've always wanted a full frame. The price of the 6600 vs the a7iii and lenses seems like a wash. Just the features of the a7iii seems like a better long term deal. Im just hoping they drop the price soon.
With time on your side, here is a trick that is goof to know. (Don't know if International, but at least US). Twice a year - March and probably coming up soon - Sony will have a "Trade In" Sale. Unfortunately, it is (or has been) limited to purchasing full frame. It combines the current sale prices for the general public - so not full MSRP for the A7III - then adds a "trade In" discount, typically $200 for the a7III level, more for higher levels, then also adds the trade in book value of what is traded in. Additionally, last year added specific lens as eligible for trade-in. Never trade in anything that can get more than privately/ebay selling - so basically no recent models. Don't have anything to trade in? Check Goodwill, Salvation Army, Pawn Shops antique stores for eligible items that will come close to breaking even on the book value, just to net the $200. Even consider a used nifty fifty from B&H, etc.

The two times I have done it, the first was a Nikon D40 as had sold all my newer Nikon gear and finally found the battery charger to sell the D40. Ebay was typically returning less than $100 it made sense to accept the $80 trade in book value plus $200. The next time, when I upgraded to the A7rIII they started the "or lens" and I traded in a Tamron 17-50 f2.8 DX lens that was in my junk box and didn't fit any camera I had plus $300 off for the A7RIII, keeping the A7RII upgraded from as backup for 6 months then selling it independently for far more than book value and paying off the 0% financing as I had paid down the difference. So many options. Next time, may have to pick up a nifty fifty or something as the Nikon mount Sigma 50mm macro wasn't on the list.
