I’m a massive space grey fan and own a space grey iPad Pro but I’ve done a 180 on Silver and I actually think it looks better than space grey. What colour would you opt for if you were purchasing a 14” Pro?

silver all the way. classic Apple look in my opinion and Space Grey just seems there's too many variations between them and aren't always consistent. although I think the iPhone 5S Space Grey was the best version

i often prefer silver ever so slightly, but on the MBP i prefer space gray, as there isn't such a stark contrast between the body and the black keyboard area

space grey. I had silver (aluminum) for so many years (from about 2003 - 2019) that I still think of silver as being the 'old' look. I will take me probably another 16 years before I tire of the space grey :)

I was going to get space grey, then remembered that I dropped and dinged my silver MacBook Air many years ago. It, being aluminum in metal and color, meant the ding really didn't show. Plus I have read that the areas around the ports on the Air show scuffing from inserting connectors on midnight and space grey. Decided to stick with silver.

I got one of each - 16 silver and 14 space gray, LOL. Either color is fetching though I’m a fan of silver with the new MBP and iPad Pro designs, but 14 SG is still quite sexy 🥹

I prefer Silver, especially with the 2021 revision MacBook Pros. The contracts of the black keyboard tray with the body looks very sharp to me. Plus the Studio Display and updated Magic accessories are all silver + black so it goes with the theme. I think a true black MacBook or the Midnight would look good, but to me the current space grey looks like a stained silver and I've seen posts of it discoloring.

Had a silver m1 air, I loved the color. Had some display issues and a long yes-no conflict with the retailer for warranty. ( having right and getting it are two opposites). So when I finally get refunded I didn't want to have anything that reminded me about the terrible Experience and went for space gray. Ofcourse I loved it as well.

I will see in a couple of years what colors apple has to offer. Maybe sticking with dark, or going light next time.

Silver or space gray although the m2 starlight also looks beautiful.... Midnight is just too dark for me.

I just cancelled my order for a M2 Air in Midnight Blue and replaced it with an order for a 14” MacBook Pro in Space Grey! If they had the Pro in Midnight then that would have been my first choice though (I’ve got an Apple polishing cloth so the fingerprint scenario wouldn’t have deterred me o_O)

I went with space grey for mine, but only because I always had silver previously and wanted a change. I do like the space grey and after owning it for 8 months I don't have any wear around the ports yet. I know its inevitable around the MagSafe charger eventually.

I really wish there were other color choices in the pro line though.

I went space grey but like you seem to have done a 180 lately and wish I'd gotten it in silver.

I am a Space Grey person, and have a space grey M1 Pro MacBook Pro myself. But seeing the new trackpad, keyboard and Studio Display that are all matching the silver and black tone of the MacBook Pro, I think that I would have taken silver. It's a small detail for sure, but I like consistency in my setup.

yes, and i was thinking why would someone need a 14 and 16?! LOL
Most don't, but everyone's needs are different. I just happen to have two MBP and it works for me.

My 16 ended up being my "desktop workstation" where it's connected to various peripherals and I didn't want to break down my setup everytime I needed to go mobile.

I was initially considering a M2 Air, but then the base MBP 14" went on sale. Base MBP on sale was $100 more than the configured M2 Air (8/10/16/512) I saved or $100 less than the 8/10/16/1TB available in store launch day.

I consume and work with a lot of HDR media and like my display blacks black. Decision was an easy choice - gotta go Pro.
