Simple Question: Black or White

I've had the white 3G for over a year now, it's great. It probably has a ton of scratches but I cannot see a single one of them unless I am at a certain angle of light, even then it's hard to tell. It does show dirt easily, obviously being white and all.....a quick swipe with a paper towel and some sort of liquid cleaner does the trick. I definitely prefer white over black

My friend has a black 3Gs, it shows fingerprints like crazy....

&&& say NO to iPhone cases, keep it in it's birthday suit :)
 
White is sexyyyy. I have it ahah.
I hated how when I put a colored transparent case on my old black 3G the color of the case wasn't that visible.

I'd go for the white. :)
 
If you are really that concerned, follow what I did: Get a white 3GS with a black case. Or if you want, a black 3GS with a white case. (Which would have more smudges)
 
watch out for the Troopers

I live in a state where it is illegal to drive while talking on the cellphone.

I chose black because I didn't want the Troopers to see my bright white phone up to my ear when I was using it.

Now I have a built in bluetooth connection in my car and the reason no longer exists.

Pick whatever color you want and change the color with a case to match your outfit. :cool:

black or white?


I have had both the black and white 3g. They are both utilitarian. As far as appearance, I had always used a cover on mine so the color was moot. I guess this begs another question: COVER OR NO COVER?
 
White 3GS 32 GB and I love the purity of it all, I was looking at the black but White is my favorite color, even though it technically is not a color.
 
After owning a black iPhone for a year I would suggest you get the white if you care about what your phone looks like. The black wears off and you're left with a dark-gray (but not black like it was) tinged color. White, on the other hand, seems to fair rather better. If you care about how your device looks in six months, get the white iPhone.
 
i dont have an iPhone yet, but ive always wanted to get a white one because its the 'other colour' and i used to buy white iPods because its Apple's classic colour.

i thought maybe it would look weird having the front face black and the back white. but after seeing them in public while actually being used ive realised how well a white casing and black face works together. when the phone is being used the screen turns off and so the whole front just looks black, and then with the white casing it really finishes it off and looks sexy...

i would still go for the white if the next iPhone has the same colourways.
 
I bought a white 3GS because I just liked the look of it better. Everyone at work had black 3Gs so I was able to look at those and that made it easier to decide that I wanted white. I also like that I can use transparent colored cases and see the colors a lot better than I could on a black phone.
 
I currently have a black one but if I were buying a new one today I'd get white just cuz.... They're both nice looking.
 
WOW :eek: The amount of replies. Just home from work was aways all days yesterday.

Read all the comment and feedback, and white seems to be just a little bit more popular. That being said, I'm heading to Glasgow next weekend on my day off, and I'll have a look at both in the store. Maybe actually seeing them side by side will help me make my mind up. Although leaning towards to the white, but just want to make sure.

I had my 3G for almost a year, and when the 3GS came out, I ordered in black. But then I cancelled my order and switched to white, because I had wanted a change and was tired of looking at the black iPhone. I now own a black 3GS, because the white started to annoy me. They're both nice, and the white is awesome because it shows no scratches, unless they are really severe. But the black is just sleeker and sexier.
 
Everyone has black (I wanted white when the 3G launched but O2 only had black).

If the colours are the same on the next iPhone, I am defo going for white.
