Hi,

I used to tell Siri "Remind in X hours Y" and the reminders app automatically had the right time of the reminder. Currently, when I say that it just adds the reminder without date or time. Is there a way to enable it or is it a bug?

I used to say for example: Remind me to Call Tom in 2 hours

Let's say it was 12 PM, it added a reminder at 2 PM with "call Tom". Currently, it just adds "Call Tom" without the date or time even if I say "Remind today at 2 PM Call Tom".

Thanks

I just told Siri to remind me to call Tom in two hours and it set the reminder for 8:46 am. There is no date, because I told Siri to do it today and the time made would be 6:46am. I get your point though. Even setting a reminder for tomorrow just shows tomorrow and the time of the reminder. I could be wrong but, isn’t this the way it has always been, or am I remembering wrong?

Weird, it doesn't set the time for me. Maybe it was a third party feature? I also have fantastical calendar, but it syncs with Apple reminders app. I used it daily telling siri remind me in 2 hours or at a specific date and time. It always added it as I said with the specific dates/times.

Fantastical is a great app. I use it as well.
Maybe someone will post and prove us both wrong. Lol

This works for me. I say “Remind me to be in bed in 1 hour“ and she set to warn me at 19.55 to be in bed.

iPad Air 3, iPadOS 14

I just tested this on my iPhone 11. "Remind me in 5 minutes to look out the window" and Siri correctly scheduled a reminder. Even better, it also synchronised quickly to my Macbook so the alert got triggered there as well. I ignored it though - I'll look out my window later :)

I don't know if I am doing anything wrong or have to change some setting but if I create a reminder using Siri it never sets the time or date?

For example if I ask Siri to make reminder "to go to the shops at 12pm today" it will just set the reminder to go to shops no time or date I have to go in and change it?

I am sure this used to work perfectly before.

Seems like there's some discussion of this type of thing at https://forums.macrumors.com/thread...d-in-x-hours-min-doesnt-work-anymore.2245485/ that might be of some help.

Have you tried “at 12 pm remind me to go to the shops”?

As per the title?

I can set reminders, but even though I specify a time for the reminder, it’s not included?

It just sets up a reminder, but with no time/alarm.

Is this a bug, or did iOS 14 do away with the feature?

A few threads with people running into this kind of thing:

“Hey Siri remind me <today> at <11:30am> to wash the car.”

For the day I can say tomorrow or Friday or a specific date such as 23rd October, and the time as AM or PM and Siri will correctly add it in for the correct day and time.

If I just say “Hey Siri remind me to wash the car.” it just adds a reminder and I don’t get asked for a day or time. So I’ve no idea when the notification for such a reminder would ‘fire’.

If I just say “Hey Siri remind me to wash the car today.” it just adds a reminder for today and I don’t get asked for a time. So, if it’s added after the default trigger time for a daily reminder I’ve no idea when the notification for such a reminder would ‘fire’.

I’m also having this issue on my iPhone 11 and Apple Watch 6.

I use Reminders extensively, and it was the main reason for me buying the watch, so this is a bummer.

Have you found a solution?

Appreciate you taking the time to describe in detail.

This is definitely a bug.

Used to work perfectly for me, but not any longer.

I’ve found the bug (at least for me, anyway.)

You have to have your clock set to 24hr mode. When this is so, everything works as it used to. That is, you can specify when a reminder is to trigger.

Hope this helps.
