I’ve found the bug (at least for me, anyway.)

You have to have your clock set to 24hr mode. When this is so, everything works as it used to. That is, you can specify when a reminder is to trigger.

Excellent that you’ve found the reason. Strange bug!

Definitely strange.

Digressing, I’ve decided to return my Apple Watch. I don’t live a busy or sporty life, so I don’t really have much use for it. It’s just another thing to have to charge!

It’s a nice device, but I would only use it for reminders and I can do that on my iPhone.

That is strange. I never use 24h clock and it has always worked for me. My iPhone X on iOS 14.? (traded it last week) and now my 12 running 14.1 (soon to be 14.2) and it always work. I use it just about every day so I would definitely notice.
 
You returned your Apple Watch for the exact reason I did.

Wanted to love it, but it just doesn’t for in with my lifestyle.
