iPhone Sky Go app not longer working on jailbroken phones

Hi All,

been reading today on a few forums that sky go is no longer working on jailbroken devices, any one know if there is a way to bypass this check?

Not working here. I get an unknown error has occoured when trying to view a video stream.

I notice they recently updated the app.

This is on a 4s btw

Edit: looks like rooted android devices are also no longer working. If you haven't already don't update the sky go app to the latest version!
 
Hopefully the developer for Xcon can patch this soon, maybe i'm forgetting but i dont remember updating mine in the last week :S
 
Sorry Dipzb90 but i was wrong, it's only Sky News thats working for me. Every thing else dont work.

Just been reading some of the reviews on the App Store and it's not looking good for this app.

I can't believe they have done this, gonna delete it i think...**** Sky.

Slapping myself now as i've just moved to they're broadband, suppose it's better then Virgin!

That won't work, Sky normally block the service unless you're running the latest version of the app after a week.

mines not working either. so both my devies will no longer work.

great.

only thing we can do is write negative reviews on the app store, and hope they change it.

Lol, Virgin broadband is the shizzle! And they are going to double my 50mb in few months for free (guessing you are adsl though).

Got Sky for tv though, of course.

Oh and on topic, mine isn't working now either..
 
Same here not working, hopefully there will be a fix soon or will have to wait for iPad 3 and use it on that until that also gets jailbroken

I hear a lot of people moaning about it on FB & Twitter thats why i said Virgin, not had any problems with it round my Mum & Dads who have it though.
 
unfortunately i cant go to virgin media because i live in a communal building :(
 
Anyone updated to the newest version of the app (just released this week)?

If so, can they update if Xcon is still working with this version.
 
Warning!!!

Don't update to the latest Sky Go from the App Store!!

You will get the normal "Streaming is not allowed to Jail Broken phones" message.

(even with Xcon installed)

Remind me how much we all pay to Sky these days?................
 
Guday All,

Same for me - when i open up the skygo app it just asks me to go straight to itunes to update - the choice of bypassing this option aint possible.

What a JOKE - what's it got to do with SKY whether your device is JB or not ??? :mad::mad:

Lets hope for a new patch ASAP.
