doesnt work, one of the 1st things i tried was 4od, its also blocked via youtube which really takes the P@#!

Yeah, confirmed, no way to get video from 4OD and ITV Player in the UK. Basically it sucks on pretty much any broadcast video hosting site... bet it works on pornflix or something like that though! Don't waste your money if you ask me.

I feel deflated. The one thing that my Android does better than IOS - web browsing video content. And that is because if you want flash to work you have to have full flash installed. I may be in the minority but I wish Apple and Adobe would kiss and make up.

totally agree, also i think it might be something to do with some of the channel 4 programs being available at a price on itunes, does 4od totally work on android?

The only flash content I encounter online is crappy adverts. I'm glad apple doesn't support it. HTML 5 all the way

Woohoo, ding ding ding, we have a winner!! Wow I'm amazed it took that long for the old "I don't use flash" cry!

I guess the reason for the TV companies blocking Skyfire is because its Flash streaming service works in the same way as a proxy host (US based).

This means any UK 4OD, ITV content (which doesn't play outside the UK anyway) won't work by default.

Hulu, on the other hand, will be manually blocking Skyfire as it would allow people outside the US to view it (also not allowed). Youtube is also region-aware and thus will block the service too.

In summary - Skyfire is a nice idea, but not the answer for Flash on the iPad.

I fear you are right. Even when it does work it's quite clunky, but it's MUCH better than nothing. Unfortunately it's not the real thing, and as much as I absolutely adore my ipad I really think I'm going to end up moving on to an Android tablet.

off top of head only thing that pops to mind with flash is youtube but as everyone knows theres an app for that lol

I know this is gonna sound stoopid, but what's the app? Like a lot of others I'm frustrated by the Apple/ Flash war. Anything that might help with it on my end is much appreciated.
