I LOVE this app but have a few questions. I see that you can fine tune on the app but don't see where you can add artists to a station that you just created...or add favorite songs to the new station like you can on the web site. I assume I am not missing something on the app? Also, what does the heart do. Does it tag the artist as a favorite or the song or both. Also, when I type in an artist to start a channel, I don't see the fine tune options coming up. Previously created stations show all the fine tune options so I think it has to do with saving and naming a new artist which I don't see on the app. Sorry for the long list of questions but Slacker seems to have the most potential of all and I want to make sure I am not missing something. Thanks.

1.) You are correct. Right now you can fine tune stations on the iPhone, but you are not able to add or remove artists, you need to go to the web for that

2.) Once you "heart" a song you mark it as a favorite, and exactly what that does is up to you. You can choose to play hearted songs no more than others, play hearted songs a lot more often, play them a little more often, I think you get the gist. Only the song is marked as a favorite, not the artist.

3.) When you type in an artist, and create an artists station from the iPhone fine tune settings are not coming up. They should, this is a bug in the program, I'm hoping they get 1.01 out quickly, I'm very sure they will but Apple can be slow.

I hope this clears things up! BTW, I am just interested and have been following slacker for a while. I don't work, or get paid or anything by them, just a fan :)

Thanks for the info. Hopefully updates will let you add artists to a station. Great app though. What do you normally use for your finetune settings. I'm not quite sure what "auto" does. I also want at least "some" new artists suggested but I'm not sure what "auto" does as well as the "dj".

1.) In terms of my fine tune settings, it changes depending on the station. I think the larger the station, the better luck you will have with fine tuning.

2.) Auto is just another word for default. In terms of how often you play favorites, if you set it to Auto, it will select for you. I'm not sure what the defaults are. If you set new artists to auto, I think it gives you a few artist discovery tracks but not very many. Don't quote me on that though

3.) The DJ is heard on certain pre-programmed stations. I've never heard the DJ, I stick to only custom stations so I can't be much of a help about this.

Ok kind bummed out earlier as I went to log in at work and couldn't because it said something about having to log in to webased app to clear a hold. Only my work has the webpage blocked and had to wait. Has this happened to anyone else and why? as it didn't say anything when i logged in online.

Now to the good thing I love this and just created 4 stations can't wait to see how well they work with playing only music i like. This is def looking like the app that will replace all my other streaming music apps and only be second to the siruis app when it comes out (only because of the talk radio i will be able to listen to then)

Thank you for such a cool little application

Update out already

1.0.1 is out already. It showed up on my phone, but not in iTunes. I'm sure this addresses many of the bugs people have been having. Does anyone have a change log?

Here you go:

WHAT'S NEW IN THIS VERSION:
* A toggle has been added to the settings screen to turn off the iPhone's sleep mode when not connected to a power source.
* Fine Tune controls and station descriptions now appear on artist or song-based stations.

Fixes:
* General audio and stability improvements.
