Curious what can't be achieved with a DSLR or Mirrorless camera.
You cannot put it in your shirt pocket.

~Just kidding! But in reality, each camera has its uses. If one camera was the best, then nobody would want to use other cameras. There are certain things that can be done with a cellphone that aren't possible with a DSLR, and vice versa. A cellphone is much like a multipurpose device that includes a camera. Cellphone photography is becoming popular these days. In the past (and today, really) we had pinhole camera photographers, street photographers using pocket cameras, and so on. A cellphone is quite useful for photography in general.

Cellphone photography is spur of the moment. DSLR or Mirrorless is more thought-full photography
A camera, regardless of kind, is used both in a spur of the moment or in a more thought-full photographic moment. Mobil photography is becoming more popular each day. This is a short list of "mobil photographers:"

By the way, I use both DSLR and mirrorless cameras instead of my iPhone, but to any person taking photos, what is most important on the photo is the story it tells, not what camera was used. Photos taken with cellphone cameras are posted in this forum each day, and one of the threads is about images taken with the iPhone 4s.

Most small cameras produce images that display reasonably well on my 1200x1600 or even on my 1080x1920 monitor. Even there some images just won't display well full screen.

However now we are seeing much bigger monitors and here is where the images start to fail. The problem is not pixel count but rather resolution. It will be interesting to see if this newer tech is able to improve resolution to the extent required to display cleanly on large 4 or 5G monitors.

At the moment there is also a huge fiscal gap between a $300-400 superzoom camera using a tiny sensor, and even the entry level in the mirrorless 4/3rds micro series which tend to cost $2000+, once you factor in a couple of decent lenses.
