So, are you guys really interested in 11.6 inch MBA?

it really depends on the size of the keyboard, bezel, and screen resolution
if they could maintain a relatively large sized keyboard with a good resolution, I'm definitely interested...

The 12" powerbooks were some of Apple's best portables. If an 11.6" mba can be the 2010 equivalent, could be a winner.
Yeah, I would definitely be interested. My wife and I travel alot on motorcycles and space is always at a premium. An iPad is out of the question since we update our website daily using iWeb and use many other programs like Pages, Numbers, and iMovie, while we're traveling.
We've got the current MBA, but having a smaller version of it would be really good.
We had a 12 inch iBook, before the Air, and I really liked the size of it better than the Air, but it's weight was too much.
If the rumors are true, I'm sure we'll be upgrading.

I can't say anything, yet. I have to see it in nature before I can judge it. If the specs and price are right, then I may be interested. However, I have my eyes targeted on 13" model, just hoping that it'll be cheaper.

I moved from a 13" Macbook Pro to an iPad because I wanted portability, but the keyboard simply doesn't cut it for day in and day out typing work.
What I love about my iPad is that it is something that I not only can take anywhere, but also something that I want to take anywhere with me. So yes, I have this great device that I'll take anywhere, but I simply can't accomplish all that much with it...thus, my interest in a Macbook Air.
I know that I wouldn't bring a 13" notebook with me, but I might bring an 11" notebook with me.
Either way, it'll come down to battery life and price point. If the battery life is adequate for all day use (6-10) hours, and if the price point is around a grand, I'll definitely be wanting one.

11 inches for me is too small. I have an ipad and iphone along with a 13 inch air and and 27 inch imac. the 13 inch air is showing its age recently, it just needs a revamping just like the macbook pro got 2 years ago. New look, new technology and pioneer technology that no other apple computers have.

I think $1400 with 4gb of ram and core i7 with at least 64gb ssd(hopefully fast) would be fair.

I go back and forth on this... I love the idea of an even smaller and lighter MacBook Air because I carry it with me everywhere I go.
On the other hand, I do a lot of writing in my free time and do a lot of "dialing-in" through remote desktop to my customer's servers. So if the keyboard is much smaller or the screen resolution is a lot lower, that would be an issue for me.
If they (Apple) give us a choice - 11.6 or 13.3 - then I'll decide then. If, for some reason, they change it to be ONLY an 11.6, then that is what I'll get and Ill just have to deal with it. I don't want to go back to carrying 5 lbs of laptop and charger with me all the time like it was before the Air.
I am very excited either way, as my RevB Air is finally ready to be retired I think.

I too am keen on the 13" as I'm looking to replace my MacBook Pro (2007, 2.2Ghz), well actually work is taking it back and I'm not working there anymore
I didn't think 13" would be enough but a trip down the Apple Store last week convinced me it would do the job just fine .... and the Air has the big advantage on weight ... if it has 4GB of memory (and with i7 660UE or similar) I'll be buying one as soon as Steve says GO! I think $1400 is reasonable ... even more so with the way the $ is against the £

Apple customers are willing to shell out whatever Apple asks. Cannibalism of their products is driven by overlapping functionality, not by price.

I would be fine with C2D though wouldn't mind having an i7 there. All I want is 4GB of RAM (or upgradeable RAM), SSD and better battery life.
I think it is totally reasonable to expect the keyboard to be full size. Just gotta make it go to the edges of the computer like the old 12" ibooks and powerbooks. If they do this i would be very interested!
I'm incredibly skeptical about it, but I'll withhold judgement. Apple, generally speaking, does not make products that aren't well thought out. I think if they released something impossible to read, it would hurt their reputation.

Keyboard is easy. an 11.6" macbook will potentially be slightly wider than the 12" PB.
I know that I wouldn't spend more than about $50 more for a 13.3" version, especially if the 11.6" is appreciably smaller and lighter.
If they can make this thing with similar or better specs to the current MBP13 and sell it for under $1200, I will be very interested.
Seriously hoping for a core i7, but we all know how Apple is...
11" would not work for me, but the current rumors are that we will have the option of 11" and 13". We won't really know till Wednesday. All of the rumors that have culminated lately, tell me I'm going to have to get an MBP and an iPad. I've been waiting for an update to the current MBA for almost a year. If they gut it and make it undersized & underpowered, I will remove it from consideration. If they keep a 13" option with a decent processor and an upgrade path to more ram and hard drive space, then I almost certainly will buy one at any price. We won't know till Wednesday.
