I am definitely interested in the 11.6" MacBook Air. My family primarily uses 13" MacBook Pros, but I would add an Air to those with the release of a smaller form factor. 11.6" would be a great backpack machine.

I don't believe I'd be interested in a screen any smaller than my current MBA. I've been getting an HP Mini ready to give to my niece and that has a screen that size (11.6"). Too small for me now in a fixed screen size product. I'll still consider the 13.3" model if there would be a refreshed one of those.

Not only would I go for the 11.6" screen size, I would even consider the 9.7" screen size from the iPad (although at a little higher resolution). In fact, if both of those came out I would order one of each. :) :)

I am fine with them adding 11.6" MBAs to the mix, but I don't want to end up with just 11.6" MBAs. I really like the full sized displays myself, but what I really want is a higher resolution 1440 x 900 13" display. There was one rumor that said it, so it's a possibility. What about IPS too?

If they hit the right price point ($1000-), which I think they will, I don't think they would be using an 11.6 inch screen otherwise.

I have thought that in the past... why not eliminate the MB from the picture and allow a range of MBAs to succeed. I think most are ready to lose the optical drive too.

Steve jobs once said that he doesn't want any compromises on MBA and he went 13.3 inch display. So, 11.6?

Who really wants 11.6 inch MBA?

It's typical for Jobs to completely bash something, then release what he was complaining about. 11" was supposed to be to small for a useable laptop. Expect 7" ipads next year.
