I wish I could afford 32GB because my 16GB RAM M1 MacBook Pro has experienced frequent beach balls and applications become slower to open than before. Hope your 16GB can last for several years.

There’s no meaningful impact of RAM in an iPad like there is in a Mac.

I can max out 8GB of RAM by running 2 games simultaneously on my M1 iPad Pro, CPU and GPU too. It's not that hard. M1 MacBook Pro with 16GB RAM fares better in that regard.

Certainly.

The comparison discussed here is between iPad having 8GB RAM on another iPad having 16GB.

Ah yes, I'm glad the usual scenario where I'm playing multiple video games at the same time is covered on the 16GB model 🙂
To me that’s usual scenario. Can’t speak for others. Also lol.

Just saying at WWDC Stage Manager and New Profiles, you are gonna want 16GB RAM.
There will hopefully be many improvements announced regarding at WWDC yes. But none of thodse will require 16GB on an iPad. iPad OS runs on the iPad, iPad Mini, iPad Air, and iPad Pro. There are variations in how ipadOS operates on those different devices (stage manager for example), but any new features Apple announces, including AI ones, will broadly need to work well across their whole iPad lineup. Will 26GB RAM potentially make a diffefence to the speed and efficiency of how any new features run? Potentially, we will see. But I personally think any difference will be marginal.

They don't make an iPad with 32 GB of Ram. I'm surprised your 16 GB of Ram on your MacBook Pro is resulting in slowdowns. I have an 8GB M1 MacBook Air and it's running fine - even when I push the RAM to its limits.
