The reason I'm so "weird" about not opening it up yet is because I have OCD. I am just gonna visit an Apple Store tomorrow and choose the best case for me.
Get a Yoobao case - it's design is based on the Apple case but is leather and sleeker looking. It also only costs $40 and isn't on back order like the Apple case.

Indeed I was, but I'm under the impression it ended on the 7th??? Are you telling me if I open my iPad right NOW I can activate an Unlimited PLAN, because if you're telling me this I'm about to have a heart attack. CAN ANYBODY who just bought an iPad confirm this!?

Granted it's not the most beautiful case, but with it's thinness, screen cover, grippy surface and multi-stand thing, it's immensely practical. Nothing comes close.

People saying you can still get unlimited data. It seems AT&T is extending the window a bit longer, but it will be gone real soon. If you are really worried, open it, activate it, then put it back into the box.
Bro, I just turned on cellular data as I leave it off and then went to view account. I see options for the 250 MB plan, the 2 GB plan, and the unlimited plan and I have never activated a data plan. Someone else has spoke that AT&T has extended the window for unlimited plan activation but no one knows when that will end. If you really want to get the unlimited I would suggest going ahead and activating it now.
I used my iPad for about a week before getting my case and it worked out fine. The iPad is a very durable device.

if anything, i still have my iPad plastic wrapping on it :S i dont know. i just hate fingerprint marks on my iPad or leaving it "exposed".
