Which makes utter zero sense itself. The app is not inherently different on the different OSes. I get why its blocked generally sometimes, because you cannot manage devices through it and there are password concerns being on the servers potentially. But it's not like the Android version doe it differently.

My dad is a program head in a fed government agency and the government IT policies he tells me about are beyond laughable too; some archaic too. The people who make the IT decisions know little to nothing about the process either or real world use of tech.

I asked one of our IT folk on this ... unless they use Mail in iOS, they cannot perform a remote company data wipe if called for. Could do a complete device wipe but that would include personal data.

Can anyone confirm?

So... two issues have been happening for me, only since the 13.2.2 update. Before then everything was fine.

1) Sometimes my new emails are only showing when I click on the individual inboxes, not in “All Inboxes.”

2) Other times I am getting a badge showing on the app icon and a number next to the inbox names saying I have a new piece of mail, but then when I look in All Inboxes or in any particular inbox I don't see anything new. I can only see the new piece of mail on my Mac.

Driving me nuts, especially since I don't always have access to the Mac. I guess I could download another mail app or the individual apps for every type of mail account I have, but that's such a pain in the ass. Any word on when the next update is rumored to be released?

I understand that part through the iOS app, but not aware it can be done on Android either.

From what I know https://www.pcworld.com/article/2885335/new-outlook-for-android-ios-wipes-the-app-not-the-phone.html the app can be wiped but not the whole device on both.

Heard the same. What MDM do you use? (I'm wondering if this is driven by the MDM.). We use "Hub" (used to be AirWatch).

The Mail app is total crap at this point as far as being a reliable client. I use my device for work and e-mail is my primary form of communications. I use iCloud and one would think it would work seamlessly but no such luck. Pretty sad state at the moment as I'm using the Outlook app to get notifications on my iCloud email account. Apple you have "Pro" this and "Pro" that but come on!

Apparently they figured it out ... we have it available for Android users - Outlook.

Spoke to Apple senior engineers about this. After many days of testing back and forth etc they stated they are aware of all the mail issues but have no idea as to when it will be fixed.

Naffing ridiculous

Not shocked considering many of the Feedback app reports have been open since the original iOS13 beta period and over 3-4 releases now. It's clear they dont have an answer.

I feel for the people who cannot get rid of Mail on their work phones due to company policy. For personal use I have dumped iCloud mail and am using my own domain with ProtonMail. I have had an account with PM for a couple of years and their web based platform is far smoother and faster than Apple's sorry excuse for a professional product.

Been using it for about 6 months now and it is working great! :)

I was sure I didn’t have the problems with mail that others are suffering on here. So now I have moved to IOS 13.2.2 mail is saying that there are a number of unread emails. But, they don‘t show in the all mailboxes view. They do show in their individual email tabs. I am tending to agree with others here that Apple is now a money only company and quality has been sacrificed on the alter of greed. Don’t get me wrong, Apple are still the best at most of this stuff but maybe not for much longer.

Weird, I have had none of these email problems. It's working just like always. I get an email, I read it, I delete it or reply to it. Several email accounts, all working exactly as expected. Maybe doing research rather than bashing apple would be more profitable. There are countless email clients that might help whatever issue you're so upset about. Good luck.

It's fairly clear throughout this thread and some others that it seems that a variety of different email configurations might be in play and that some can be affected by various issues while others might not be, for whatever reason. Not experiencing issues doesn't necessarily say much one way or another about the experience that some others might be having.

Almost No other email clients for exchange which is the problem. Are you using an exchange email using activesync through a company? I think most people have researched this and have commented about it. Saying that something works for you does not mean the problem doesn’t exist. It may just not apply to your usage.

XS Max on 13.3 PB2
Dropped into Mail and ... sigh ...
Nothing showing on the badge side. Went into the app and one account showed one unread email. So I went into that account and there it was. Went back to the root leaving the email unread. Went into Unread. Nothing showing. WTH? Manually refreshed and there it was. Left the app and the badge showed 1.

Went back in, read the unread email and all things agreed, I had no unread emails pending.

sigh .... 😕

What is going on with Mail app! Randomly all inbox emails gone, all other folders ok. Reboot phone, delete and readd account all 3 will get it to work for a bit then bug again. So frustrating since iOS 13 release. Using Outlook now rock solid.

My notifications come through but in Exchange (my work email) I have to delete every email twice, and I have to manually refresh the mailbox to make the notification dot go away. So annoying.
