I have already made my decision. I am getting the Samsung Galaxy Note II. Now if it would just hurry up and become available on Verizon (should be the end of the month).

I'm getting more and more interested in the iPad Mini, I tell you what.

Why's that? I've been sold on the iPad Mini for a long time, I am just curious what it will actually be like.

I was initially very disappointed that the new Nexus is rumored to only have 16GB of storage. But as a first-time Nexus owner, the device would be tons better than the Galaxy Nexus is out now. Although I would love to see Samsung make a Galaxy Nexus 2.

I went to see a Nexus 7 this weekend and was blown away by it. The screen, fluidity of the UI, easy of use, quality feel, etc was all really really nice. It felt great in the hand, easy to use and see, etc. 7" tablet is the ideal compromise between the small iPhone screen and large ipad for portability.

What I liked most, GPS, off line, no wifi GPS. Why Apple hasn't put that in the ipad wifi yet is beyond me...it is one of the things that is swaying me toward the Nexus.

I too am hoping the iPad mini comes out and the specs/price are inline, but just in case I reserved a Nexus 7 (they were just released in Japan this week, so there is a one to three week wait). Depending on what Apple announces I will either pick up my Nexus 7 or cancel and get the iPad mini.

But I will say, Jellybean is slick and the Nexus 7 is an example of near perfect execution of the OS in a a tablet that size. If it had 32 gb of storage I would say it was perfect. Apple needs to come up big IMHO to beat it.

Oh and I hear the Kindle Fire HD has an even nicer screen, but Amazon is killing it with its restricted UI and access to apps IMHO.

I'm hoping sammy doesn't make the next nexus. I'm not a fan of their plastic build and screen technology. HTC? Yes. I don't really know about LG or Sony but I can't wait to see.

I am thinking about starting a cycle of buying a new Nexus every year. No 2 year contract so I could just get a new one each year! :)

Now if I could just figure out the best way to insure them....

Let's hope so. One weird thing is that the FCC filing for what is presumed to be this device does not have LTE. Hmm. I hope this phone makes me justify the high price tag that I'm assuming.

I do prefer actual capacitive buttons on a device rather than on screen buttons eating up my screen real estate. Otherwise it looks nice, I like the back reminds me of the Bold 9900 back panel.

Actually design cues seem to come a lot from the Bold 9900/9930 (metal rim, textured back and rounded etc..)

The advantage I see with the onscreen buttons is that they can changed based on the situation. On the Galaxy Nexus if you are in the keyboard the back button changed to a down arrow to minimize the keyboard. And when you rotate the screen the buttons rotate too. It's a nice touch. No mind blowing or anything but nice.

The textured back is better than the smooth plain black. I hope this phone feels good in the hand.

I don't think the back is actually textured but rather a visual pattern. Look at the glare--it's smooth and as such I think the back is smooth as well.
