They are pretty funny, I do agree with that. This thread is a perfect example. Just a lot of complaining about how horrible Apple product A is, or Apple product B is. And it never ends, every single thread, much like this one. You offer help in the the form of suggestions to try and they can’t be bothered with any of it. And I love the bit about how Android and Windows is so superior. And yet here we are having the never ending complaints about Apple. And it is funny and sad at the same time.

Now we are being called liars. The anger is strong with this one.
Of course I'm complaining. I'm stuck with this Mac and iPhone for at least 2 years, so I would like to have my issues resolved.
I'm starting to realize that Apple products aren't really great. It's a fashion statement, not a good product.

Wow, you are stuck, really? If I was as miserable as you sound, I would have sold all those inferior Apple products and concentrate on the other superior products. Life is too short to be miserable. And what does your anger get you. It does not bother me or make me angry. At the end of the day, all you are left with is being miserable about some products that you are choosing to continue on owning.

As wealthy as I am, I'm also cheap. If I were to resell my used phones and buy a flagship android phone, I would be down another $1000.

You're talking like 1.5-2 days of usage is great when that's been the standard on most flagship Android devices for years. My S10 got 2 days of usage with 8+ hours of SOT, same as my iPhone 13 Pro.

I think Apple customers are convincing themselves that they're getting better performance or battery life or whatever when it's not really there. People have to justify dumping $1000 on their phone, so making up pros is how they do it.

Lol. That is just dumb thing to say, but you can say whatever you want. However at this point the conversation is for me pointless. You can buy and use whatever phone you want and makes you happy. I wish you a nice day. Stay safe. Cheers

I'm concerned that Apple added some kind of timer to begin dropping performance and worsening battery life when the timer hits a certain number.
This is my cocern too, I'm slowly becoming a schizo with Apple products. I plan on measuring the performance of my new 13 mini every week and never update. Let's see how the performace degrades over time (it shouldn't)

I do not know if this comforts you, but I still do have iPhone 7 (used as my daily phone since Oct 2017 - Jan 2021) and the only major performance degradation was after installing iOS14 and it was noticeable (sluggish screen swipes, Safari opening noticeable slower, editing photos was also slow and sometime not responsive fluently, etc.) until 14.3 or 14.4. I do not remember exactly.

But to say the "B" here, I am beta testing all iOS since iOS 12 and that of course can be impacting the performance in a significant way. So unless your experience performance drops somewhere where you are waiting for your phone to perform a simple task, I wouldn't mind it. Do not stress yourself.

Today the iPhone 7 is being used by mom, it is 2022 and the 4 years old phone is snippy without any HW failures. (camera, BT, microphones, touchID sensor, you name it).

It is however that true with bigger product lineup and more services to provide, the release quality is dropping and troubleshooting and fine tuning takes more time. I am not surprised by that and therefore not complaining so much about it, as in general I am happy Apple customer for almost 10 years now without thoughts to migrate away from Apple env.

Download 15.2 from here: https://ipsw.me

Then restore with DFU mode. If that doesn't fix it, you should get it looked at because it shouldn't be acting that way.

Unless you're trolling. Then I'm sorry I wasted my time.

Funny. It's always something around here.

With Apple devices its "Apple has built in obsolescence" and thus your device will slow down over time forcing you to buy a new device. Funny how that never seems to happen to my 3GS, my 4, my 4s, my 5, my 6s+ and my 11PM. Unless this conspiracy only happens on the new flagship models?

With Android its "Your device will slow down over time." Yeah, tell that to my Google Pixel 3a XL running Android 12. I've had it for over two years now - no slow down.

When there's no controversy it must be created I guess.

Curious, what you are suggesting is the same as doing a Recovery Mode Restore?
DFU is a direct firmware upgrade. The OS on the computer and the device do not get involved, which is why you see nothing on the screen of the device when it's in DFU mode. It's as pure and direct as you can get, but it's not recovery mode. You aren't trying to recover the device, you are directly upgrading/restoring it.

It's very stressful. I have to constantly look up ways Apple is trying to screw me over. Every update they make, I spend hours looking at problems and bugs that may arise. Is buying Apple products worth this much stress?
I regret buying my Apple devices so much.

Why don’t you sell your iPhone and buy and android? After all android just works.

Clearly there is some problem or just a giant troll who hates good quality products. before I switched to iPhone basically around the time the iPhone 5 came out, I had 3 FLAGSHIP ANDROID PHONES TRY TO CATCH FIRE IN MY POCKET, and being a male, I have a problem with a likely flame thrower in my front pockets.... got the iPhone 5 and it never got as much as warm and everything just worked, been a loyal iPhone owner since, have an iPhone XR running iOS 15.2 and no complaints what so ever. The it just works with the iPhone caused me to switch to EVERYTHING apple, laptop, desktop, tablet, watch, AirPods etc. I have never been unhappy with any of my apple products and have kept them long after any warranty expired. typing this on a 2014 MacBook Air that is running macOS Monterey with the patch for unsupported mac's and have no issues. maybe the op needs to learn how to use his device and quit crying.
