So was in a Samsung store and found that the colors and clarity of a S10 are much better than iPhone XR?
Can anyone confirm? I was amazed at the vibrant colors!
This video is not about Samsung, but screen quality is highly subjectiveSo was in a Samsung store and found that the colors and clarity of a S10 are much better than iPhone XR?

I’ve preferred OLED for many years, a big difference exists between the s10 and Xr screen. Can most people tell the difference? No idea
Finally you found the difference between oled and lcd. It literally took you years... Hope you'll find the next ones regarding apples. So was in a Samsung store and found that the colors and clarity of a S10 are much better than iPhone XR?

Not everybody cares that the screen on their phone is not deemed quite as good as another. It’s about over all package and OLED devices are considerably more expensive than the iPhone XR. It’s not about being sold out to a lie at all. Finally you found the difference between oled and lcd. It literally took you years... Hope you'll find the next ones regarding apples.

Was in "vivid mode"? Cause that mode is not accurate. Change it to basic and it should look more similar.
But yes, it should be better thanks to the infinite contrast of an OLED screen and the higher resolution it has.
My friend compared my S10 to his iPhone XS Max, and we both agreed the colors on the S10 were much better. I even adjusted for "Natural" vs "Vivid" Mode, True Tone, etc. S10 was much better when looking at the same picture. Plus the higher resolution and PPI was noticeable. So was in a Samsung store and found that the colors and clarity of a S10 are much better than iPhone XR?

It’s vivid in a good way. It kinda looks like the picture you’re looking at is jumping from the screen. So the difference between the S10 and XR would most likely be even more pronounced.
I have since switched my S10 back to vivid, and gave it slight warm tint (+1 from center on the slider) and I actually got the screen to look better than the Note 10+, mostly because it's brighter. It’s vivid in a good way. I think if both phones are side by side then people will see a difference. Whether it’s a big difference seems to be subjective to the individual. I’ve compared the XR to the XS Max and not seen enough of a significant difference personally. Makes my buying choices much cheaper though which isn’t going to make me complain lol.
This is a good point. If you’re into photography, you know that your eyes/brain adjust for many things especially color. If you sit in a room with fluorescent lighting a short while, everything looks normal (also tungsten-balanced lighting) but if you take an image without adjusting for the color balance, the camera will show you what the scene really looks like and it will be quite different from your perception of it.

5 year old OLED > 2018 XR LCD.Why the comparison to the XR which will be a year old next month? Older tech vs newer tech.
I've noticed no brightness differences between my Note 10+ and my S10+. Both have thedispays set to vivid with the same exact slider settings.I have since switched my S10 back to vivid, and gave it slight warm tint (+1 from center on the slider) and I actually got the screen to look better than the Note 10+, mostly because it's brighter.
