So there won't be a 2012 Mini?

Personally, I see a good chance of this happening in September with the rest of the refreshes that are shaping up. July looked likely with ML, but whateva. While I really want a new mini on the market, I can honestly say the current gen isn't holding my productivity back at all. Let's just hope it's worth the wait

The buyers guide here is very misleading.
It should say: a speedbump is possible since march-may (but as it did not happen, it will never happen in this cycle).

And since october will be iMac prime time, I bet on January/February. So the TS is probably right.
Well, IF it's next year, it better be Haswell, 'cos I'm not gonna buy a "new" computer with a one year old CPU architecture ...
The thing is you will have to wait another year to get Haswell.

I just have a feeling that the Mac mini and iMac are going to be launched together. According to reports that is looking like September to October.
Lack of a 2012 mini is extremely unlikely if you look at fundamental hardware availability rather than published rumors. Haswell is at least a year out. It could slide even later than Ivy, and the notebooks usually take priority over the mini. There is absolutely no reason for Apple to skip over the mini here.
It should be as simple as slapping in a new motherboard, CPU, and GPU in the assembly line. Maybe not that simple, but it shouldn't be too hard.

And agree, launch should be between august and october, while I thing early august or late october are most probable. Both dates have been used often to update Macs.
Why should the holiday season be damaged in any way by the Mac Mini? First, they don't sell enough to ruin it anyways, second, a "too good" Mini would sell great - no matter when it's released.
Yep. But as I said, I wouldn't buy a Ivy Bridge computer in 2013. If it really comes 2013, I'll have to borrow a Mac until the next Mini arrives ... And as this isn't soo cheap, I really hope it comes this year.
Well that equals "I am never buying a Mini again". Mini == Outdated processor. Live with it. I don't mind.
That was almost never true in the past. The 2011 Mini came right when Sandy Bridge was available, and even the Core 2 Duo Minis weren't too late. Would be really bad if they decide to releasee a Ivy Bridge Mini together with Haswell MacBooks ...
They have not done a lot of that. As much as apple can be very annoying with updates they do tend to keep macbook pro 13 inch and mac minis parallel in terms of cpu's.
No, the 2011 models came about 6 months after SB CPUs became available. The mini uses the same CPUs as the MBP and it was refreshed in July/August in 2011. The 2011 MBP came out in February. The mini is usually late.
if it is oct 31 2012 and the mini has not been upgraded it is over for this year. they have never done a nov or dec update for a mini.
