Excited? Indifferent? Disappointed? Solid improvements or lackluster improvements? Going to upgrade or no?

Disappointed at pricing, probably still going to pick up a 5.8" XS and see how I get along with it.

Underwhelmed for sure but picking up the Max since already sold my X. Prices are pretty high, I was hoping for cheaper but ehh it is what it is.

Wife and I have an 8+. Xs Max 512 is $72/mo on the Apple Upgrade plan with the AppleCare+ theft and loss. That's a bit too rich for our blood. The 256 is only $8/mo less. If we had a 6s+ I think an upgrade would be no question, but ... these things are getting REALLY expensive. We've concluded we'll keep our 8+ phones for another year or two.

Nay on the phone. Keeping my 256GB X. It's still perfect.

Yay on the watch. I have a history of heart problems (WPW, VTAC) so that built in ECG will be incredibly beneficial for my doctor/patient communication. Not to mention that slimmer form factor looking incredible.

Yep. We plan on upgrading our watches.

I was sweary over the prices then realised I'm paying £68 per month on my current phone. iHypocrite.

Indifferent.

iPhones to replace current iPhones have been off the table in our upgrade plans since the iPhone 7/7+

Indifferent/unimpressed. I will be sticking with my 8 Plus, but that’s what I expected to do all along. This year’s phones just do not seem to be significant upgrades over last year’s.

I think the Max will be an amazing phone, the XR will outsell the XS, and Apple needs an SE sized device with Face ID.

Looking forward to getting the XS Max. Surprisingly, my fears and distrust of Face ID are gone and I'm ready to ditch my 8+

the XR is better than expected. makes it even harder to pay the prices of the XS (Max)

but luckily there's not really a reason to upgrade my X yet.

I was really hoping for a SE replacement but apparently 749$ is a budget price now. I'm really not a big fan of using old phones as the entry level.

I'm actually pleased. This is the first iPhone since the iPhone 5 that I'm genuine want to buy. The Max is looking at me seductively.

I don't see it that way. I think the larger size of the Max versus the XR will appeal to many, even at a much higher price point. I think the XR makes the XS less appealing.

if choice was X or same sized XS, I would keep my current X for another year. I find I'm missing the size of the plus line and that's really my only reason for upgrading from X to XS Max. internal and camera upgrades aren't enough to constitute X to XS for me personally.

Although I don’t like the price, I like the form factor of the Max. I think it will be a good phone at the end of the day.... and a hot one at that. I feel apples delivery is getting old however....still stunned about no wireless charging mention! Is it safe to use an iPad charger on these?

Scared for the future of pricing on iPhones. If the base model of the newest iPhone costs $1,000 two years in a row I can think Apple would do it again. And $1,500 for an iPhone Xs Max in 512 gb is kind of unreasonable.

I‘m with everyone - the SE needs a comeback!
Aside that, I came to like the new naming scheme.
iPhone Xr = iPhone 10, regular (good)
iPhone Xs = iPhone 10, super (better)
iPhone Xs Max = it‘s the (best) option

Apple always divides their products in these categories, so to me, that move makes sense. Still want to see a SE update for all the ladies pockets!

The answer to this question will come down to what phone is currently in our pocket. As a 7 user, I'm excited but disappointed by the price. So I'll get the XS Max, but it'll cost Apple a sale of its watch as a result. I was set to buy both but I'm drawing the line at these prices.

My brother has an X and is entirely indifferent. He'll wait until next year for an upgrade.

My girlfriend has an 8+ and she couldn't care less either.

What does the "R" stand for?! Did they mention it during the keynote? I can't find anything on the Apple page.

I'm fine with my SE.
It still works like a charm. But I had hoped for a SE (X).
But it was continued, at least for now.

My SE will work with upgrades another ~2 yrs.
What is ultra clear to me, I'm not buying something bigger.
I can buy android, I can buy mini small, but not Timmies excess phones.

I'm very excited. Want a bigger phone. Love the X but too small for me. Super excited to get the Max! AUP makes it a sweet deal for me.
