So what do you guys think of the CES announced Samsung's flexible display?

I haven't read through the entire thread here, but bendable displays are entirely gimmicky. There's no real benefit to displaying the time/stock ticker/weather/or whatever else on the side of the display when it's not in use. It just doesn't seem all that practical to me. Bendable displays won't be the death of Apple. Samsung has demoed flexible OLED displays for years now.

I wouldn't mind carrying 2 things if that meant my screen was a wirelessly connected rollable\foldable screen. Ideally the cell phone part would be very small and probably attach to your keychain, not unlike one of those mobile hotspots. Wow that would be pretty sick to just whip out a screen, although there still needs to be a battery.

Yeah. With wireless charging coming now too, we could see something like this within 5 years. That would be pretty cool.
