ram is well cheap at the moment, even ddr is running at one of its lowest prices.
In the UK I can get 4x512MB or 2x1GB modules for under 70 quid

DDR is more pricey than DDR2 though. Even so its a lot cheaper than a new machine, especially a high class one, like Sesshi is suggesting.
 
I paid in excess of 200 quid for 2GB when I got my current pc so in my view its currently rather cheap :mad:

I didn't read your post correctly I'm sorry :eek:, but I see your point, its just DDR2 is crazy cheap at the moment.
 
Hmm I think if you compare DDR2 and DDR, DDR2 should be cheaper cause its the standard people using nowadays, where as DDR is a older unproduced version so it will be harder to find and will result in it becoming more expensive then DDR2
