Um this may seem a little dumb but why not just put a book or something under the back of the notebook, thus elevating the back, and bringing down the front edge. Once it kinda slopes back...it doesnt cut into your wrists anymore

That is what you need.

Last time I take your advice...

A simple solution. Get some tennis racquet grip tape like Tourna Grip. Cut it to the length you need to cover the sharp edge of your macbook and tape it on.

Hahaha, it would look ridiculously ugly to apply the light blue grip that does not slip on his Macbook Pro. I'm actually using Tourna Grip right now and I must say that the Yonex Super Grap is my favorite over grip.

I once had a late model 2007 17 MBP. Slid my finger along side the inside edge of the LCD Screen (the metal part) and sliced my finger wide open. Kinda felt like a monstrous, man eating paper cut from hell! Learned my lesson and never did that again

I think I know the reason so many people have differing opinions on the sharpness. I don't feel the sharpness at all when I'm typing or searching the web for things and using the trackpad occasionally. But when I use the only the trackpad for hours (e.g. when playing Civilization VI while watching TV), then the edge slowly makes a harsher and harsher impression on my hands whether I'm wearing long sleeves or not. The edge is definitely not rounded and is unpleasant to rest one's hands upon. Most people, when typing, or using the keyboard mostly, rest their wrists on the edge at a fairly oblique angle. But when using the trackpad - and when using the laptop on a lap - it's the hands that are pushing against this squared-off edge. I would genuinely upgrade to a newer Macbook (I'm on the M1) if a later iteration didn't have this hard corner, just for games.

Nice necrobump!
