Man some people on here are really just a little edgy. Here's some basic thoughts,
1. I doubt security will give you any grief for sitting around minding your own business, especially if as you said your just going to hang around up the block or so. If your doing something stupid like leaning on his car, or sitting on the hood, well that may be another story.
2. Getting arrested?? WTF. . . what kind of law are you breaking by quietly sitting around the Apple campus? The only way to get arrested is if your asked to leave (by security) and refuse to leave, at that point they can arrest you for tresspassing on private property.
3. Reality is that Job's has always been a very private person, and would probably be annoyed if you asked him for an autograph, then again maybe he's starting to soften in his old age.
Bottom line: Its something that very few people have the opportunity to do, (ie most of us don't live 5 minutes from Apple), you'll probably be dissapointed when Job's scowls at you, and above all, be respectful and compliant if approached by someone in authority.
